  Vena, Brother Daniel T., OFM Capuchin Brother Daniel T. Vena, OFM Capuchin, Kaukauna, 71, was born to eternal life Friday, Dec. 1, 2006. Brother Dan was born July 8, 1935, in Long Beach, Calif., the son of the late John and Jeannie (Padula) Vena. He was invested in the Capuchin Franciscans on August 17, 1968, made his First Profession of Vows on August 18, 1969, and his Perpetual Profession of Vows on September 10, 1976. Brother served many of his years in the Milwaukee and Detroit communities. He loved his artwork, painting, and antique collecting. Brother Vena is survived by a sister and a brother, Louise Daurer and John Vena, both of Chicago, as well as several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, a sister Marie McWilliams, and brothers Joseph and George. The funeral Mass for Brother Dan will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 5, 2006, at ST. FIDELIS FRIARY, 1100 North Ballard Road, Appleton, with Fr Dan Anolzer officiating. Interment will be in the Capuchin Franciscan Cemetery in Mt. Calvary at 3 p.m. Visitation will begin Monday, at 5 p.m., at St. Fidelis, and a Capuchin Community Vigil service will be at 7:30 p.m. Memorials in Brother's name may be sent to the Capuchin Franciscan Order, 1820 Mt.
