    Loraine Van Lanen, of Little Chute, age 89, died Monday, January 1, 2007, at Carolina Manor in Appleton. She was born October 14, 1917, to the late Arthur and Theresa (Wenninger) Lembcke. Loraine and her husband, Joe Landwehr, farmed in the Seymour area until 1959 at which time they moved to Black Creek. They then became part owners of Landwehr Material in Mackville. Joe preceded her in death in 1975. Loraine enjoyed square dancing for almost 50 years with all three husbands. She also enjoyed traveling, gardening and playing cards.
    She was a past member of St. Mary Catholic Church, Black Creek and a present member of Holy Cross Catholic Church, Kaukauna.
    She is survived by her 3rd husband, Jerome; a son, Darryl of Reno, NV; two daughters and sons-in-law: Janet (Jerome) Stingle, Loon Lake and Sharon (Dick) Melchert, Black Creek; five grandchildren: Gregory (Lynn) Stingle, Kevin (Paula) Stingle, Jill (Brian) Rosio, Kim (Greg) Kroncke and Kurt Melchert; great-grandchildren: Ryan and Megan Stingle, Sierra and Ashlyn Rosio; brothers: Bill Lembcke, Green Bay; Joe (Theresa) Lembcke, Tripoli, WI; five sisters: Shirley (Don) Roskom, Green Bay; Gloria Busch, Arizona; Elaine (Charles) Welter, De Pere; Delores (Al) Palmer, Neenah; and Marilyn (Fred) VanKauwenberg, De Pere; numerous nieces and nephews. She is further survived by her husband's family: Robert (Jane) Van Lanen and Kathleen, Jane (Michael) DeStaercke and family, De Pere.
    She was preceded in death by her first husband, Joe Landwehr in 1975; her 2nd husband, Joe Romenesko in 1998; a brother, Carl Lembcke; and two brothers-in-law, Edward Weber and Francis Busch.
    Lorraine's Funeral Service will be at 11 a.m. on Saturday, January 6, 2007, at ST. MARY CATHOLIC CHURCH, Black Creek with Fr. Theodore Hendricks officiating. Friends will be received on SATURDAY at CHURCH from 9 a.m. until the time of service. Burial will take place at St. Mary Cemetery in Black Creek. A memorial has been established to benefit Parkinson Disease. The Boettcher Family Funeral Home, Kaukauna is assisting the family. 920-766-2099.
    The Family would like to thank the loving staff at Carolina Manor for all the care and compassion they gave Loraine during this difficult time and also Theda Care Hospice.
