Zirbel, Lawrence H. "Larry"Age 95, formerly of 850 Mather St., Green Bay, died Saturday July 6, 20 02 at a local nursing home. He was born Nov. l8, l906 in Wrightstown to t he late Otto and Amelia (Schauble) Zirbel. On Mar. l6, 1928, he married Ad eline Fredrick at St. John Lutheran Church in Wrightstown. She preceded h im in death on June 24, 1998. Larry was self employed in the trucking indu stry and later worked at the Ford Dealership in Wrightstown with his broth er, Alvin for many years. He also worked at Peterson Builders in Sturge on Bay for 10 years and later was the first employee of the Green Bay Bran ch of A.C. Nielsen Co., employed as Building Engineer. He retired in l971.Larry was very active though the years. He served past the President of t he Village of Wrightstown in l944. He was also the Supervisor for the Vill age on the Brown Co. Board and served as the President of the first Wat er and Sewer Utility Board in the Village of Wrightstown. Larry was al so a charter member of the Wrightstown Lions Club, the Boy Scouts and t he U.S. Power Squadron of Green Bay. He was also a member of the Hen ry S. Baird Lodge #211 F.&A.M. in Sturgeon Bay.Survivors include; six children and their spouses, Gerald and Phyllis Zirb el, Hamilton, Montana, Caroline Cunningham, Minocqua, Shirley and Roger Pa gel, Fence, WI, Richard and Janice Zirbel, Fence, WI, Patricia and Robe rt Oldenburg, Milwaukee, Robert and Mary Zirbel, Shawano, 19 grandchildre n, 36 great-grandchildren and 12 great-great grandchildren, a brother, Alv in Zirbel, a sister, Vi Ray and many other relatives and friends.He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Adeline, a great-grands on, Chuckie Cunningham, two great-great-grandchildren, Shawn Zirbel and Na tasha Koester, and a brother, Harold Zirbel.Friends may call at Blaney Funeral Home, 1521 Shawano Ave. from 4 unt il 8 p.m. Monday. Visitation will continue on Tuesday morning from 10 a. m. until the time of the funeral service. The funeral will be at 11 A.M. T uesday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Fort Howard Memorial Park.The Zirbel family would like to thank the nurses and staff at Bornemann Nu rsing Home for all the wonderful care of Larry.

Obituary:
Robert Allen Zirbel, 71, of Shawano, WI, was called suddenly to be with his heavenly father on October 8th, 2016. Bob was born in Wrightstown, Wisconsin on January 19, 1945 to Lawrence and Adaline (Fredrich) Zirbel. He graduated from Green Bay East High School in 1963. Bob was married to Mary Ellen Schuessler on July 24, 1965. Last year, they celebrated 50 years of marriage with their friends and loved ones. Bob worked as a machinist for Paper Converting Machine Company for 35 years prior to retiring early to enjoy winters in Florida and his family community at Zirbel's Last Resort Park on Loon Lake. Bob was fortunate enough to enjoy 19 years of retirement with Mary…the wife he loved for 51 years. Bob was one of Wisconsin's finest - he loved to fish in all seasons - and he loved the outdoors and all of God's nature. He was grateful for all of God's gifts and gave back all of himself to help others. Everyone considers Bob a dear friend, one they will truly miss.
Bob is survived by his wife Mary, his sons Doug (Denise) and Mark, his grandchildren Jacob, Abby, Jenna, and Andrew. His siblings Caroline Cunningham, Shirley (Bob) Pagel, Dick (Jan), Pat (Roger) Oldenburg. His siblings in law Robert Schuessler and Karen Bravier. And many other family and friends.
Bob is preceded in death by his parents, his brother Gerald (and Phyllis), brothers in law James, Robert, and Donnie Schuessler. And his father and mother in law, George and Marjorie Schuessler.
The memorial service will be held at St. Paul Lutheran Church, Town of Washington on Saturday, October 15th at 11:00am. Reverend Steven Pockat will be officiating. Visitation will be held at the church on Saturday from 9:00am until the time of the service. Inurnment will be in the church cemetery. Funeral arrangements are being handled by Swedberg funeral home.
In lieu of flowers Bob's family requests nonperishable food items for distribution to local pantries.
