2.1 John Glasheen was born June 10, 1861 in Buchanan, Wisconsin.

 

On November 22, 1893 he married Anna Amundson, a Norwegian, at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church in Neenah. John was a farmer all his life. They moved to Menasha around 1907 and he died just a few years later at age 48 on January 2, 1910. He and Anna had no children.

It is unknown what became of Anna or where either of them is buried.

 


2.2 Ellen Glasheen was born about 1863.

 

On June 7, 1885 she married James Summers at St. Francis Catholic Church in Holland town. He was the son of  Jacobus (or James) Summers and Margarite Hughes who resided in Holland town.  James and Ellen moved to North Dakota shortly after their marriage, to a small community known as Island Park or Lisbon. There Ellen gave birth to nine children; James, William, John, Leo, Thomas, Joseph, Winifred, Lucy and Harold.

Ellen (Glasheen) Summers died November 28, 1911 in Lisbon, ND. of kidney disease and is buried in Oakwood Catholic Cemetery.

James Summers death record has not been found.

 

 

 

 

 

 

2.2.1        James Clement Summers was born  November 12, 1891 in Lisbon, North Dakota. He married Kathryn Mitchell about 1920. They had six children; Kathleen Summers; Irene and Fred Lucas; Mary Lou Summers; Clement and Joyce Summers; Patricia Summers; and John Summers.

 

Kathryn (Mitchell) summers died August 21, 1939 in Arcadia, California and James C Summers died the following year on March 10, 1940. They are both buried at Monrovia Live Oak Cemetery.

 

 

 

 


 

2.2.2        William W. Summers was born January 16, 1893 in Lisbon, North Dakota. He married Josephine Rando about 1917.

 

They have 4 children;

2.2.2.1     Douglas and Margaret Summers who have four children;

   

 

2.2.2.2    Cleone and James Jones;

 

2.2.2.3    Wilma and James Benedict who have five children;

 

2.2.2.4    William and Irene Summers who have three children.

 

William W. Summers died December 30, 1960 in Ontario, California and Josephine died January 10, 1979. They are both buried at Belleview Cemetery.

 

 

 

 


 

 

2.2.3    John Aloysius Summers was born April 24,1894 in Lisbon, North Dakota. He married Edna Lovejoy between 1920-1922.

 

John A Summers died 10/2/1975 in Spokane, WA. Edna (Lovejoy) Summers died 1/30/1986 in Spokane, WA.  

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 


 

 

2.2.4        Frank Thomas Summers was born January 12, 1895. He married Anna Tabery.

 

 

Frank T Summers died November 25, 1961 in Los Angeles, and Anna (Tabery) Summers died September 11, 1977 in West Covina, California.

 

 

 


 

 

2.2.5        Leo Maurice Summers was born April 19, 1896 in Lisbon, North Dakota.

 

Leo M Summers died 12/30/1980 in Pinellas County, Florida. He is buried at Andersonville National Cemetery, Andersonville, GA.

 

 

 

 

 

 


 

 

2.2.6        Elred Joseph Summers was born June 27, 1899 in Lisbon, North Dakota. He married Mary Catherine Smith about 1925. They have four children;

            2.2.6.1.2    Megan McGowan married to Alan Rogers

            Dorothy (Summers) McGowan died February 2, 2001 in Covina, California.

 

2.2.6.2    Mary Jean and John Thomas who have six children;

            2.2.6.2.1    Kathleen "Kate" married to Christian Keena

            2.2.6.2.2    David married to Mary McKenzie

            2.2.6.2.3    James married to Michelle Proulx

            2.2.6.2.4    Elizabeth married to Niall Viney

            2.2.6.2.5    Barbara Thomas

            2.2.6.2.6    Allison Thomas

                                     

 

            Mary Jean (Summers) Thomas died August 7, 1995 in Rancho Santa Margarita, California.

 

 

2.2.6.3    James and Joan Summers who have 3 children;

            2.2.6.3.1    Daniel Summers married to Char Hodge

            2.2.6.3.2    Kelley Summers

            2.2.6.3.3    Robert Summers married to Lori Teakle.

 

2.2.6.4    Michael Summers married to Joan Pasanato. 

 

Elred J Summers died February 13, 1955 and Mary (Smith) Summers died February 24, 1992 in Monrovia, California.

 

 

 


 

 

2.2.7        Winifred Summers was born about 1900 in Island Park, North Dakota. She married a Mr. Marsh.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

2.2.8        Lucy Ellen Summers was born June 13, 1903 in Island Park, North Dakota. She married a Mr. Buie. She died April 20, 1989 in Santa Cruz, California.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

2.2.9        Harold Summers was born about 1908 in Island Park, North Dakota.

 

 


2.3  Elizabeth Glasheen was born July 28, 1865. On December 31, 1883 she married William Dorsey at St. Francis Catholic Church in Holland town. He was the son of William and Anna Dorsey and had been born in Ohio in November of 1858. William and Elizabeth settled in Center, Outagamie County Wisconsin and were farmers there.

 

They had two children, Thomas Dorsey born August 25, 1886 and Anna Dorsey born in October 1887.

 

 

 

Elizabeth (Glasheen) Dorsey died of heart failure on December 9, 1914 and is buried at St. Mary’s Catholic church cemetery in Appleton. It is unknown when William Dorsey died or where he is buried.

 

 


 

2.4  Anna Glasheen was born December 1, 1866. On October 28, 1890 she married William P. Campbell at St. Francis Catholic Church in Holland town. William was the son of John Campbell and Catherine Hickey and was born in Holland town on January 1, 1864. William and Anna were farmers in the Holland town area.

 

They had 10 children;

Maurice (or Morris) Campbell born September 8, 1891,

Olive Campbell born December 26, 1892,

Winifred Campbell born July 31, 1894,

Willard Thomas Campbell born July 1, 1896,

John Campbell born May 7, 1898,

Mary Campbell born March 27, 1900,

Sadie Campbell born October 7, 1901,

Ruth Campbell born March 10, 1903,

Harold Campbell born September 3, 1904 and

Howard Francis Campbell born April 17, 1908.

 

Anna (Glasheen) Campbell died December 13, 1937. William Campbell died January 17, 1950 at a hospital in Green Bay of pneumonia. They are both buried at St. Francis Catholic Church cemetery in Holland town.

 


 

2.5  Winifred Glasheen was born December 14, 1869. She moved to North Dakota sometime between 1892 and 1895. On September 21, 1896 she married William Harry Farrell in Lisbon, North Dakota. William was born in Beaver Dam, Dodge county Wisconsin about April 1864. In the 1900 Census they are found in Ovid township in Lamoure county, North Dakota.

 

William and Winifred had 5 children;

 

Anna Florence born November 1, 1897,

Lucy Ellen born July 17, 1899,

William James born April 3, 1903,

Winifred Evelyn born January 10, 1905 and

Katherine Lorraine born August 5, 1907.

 

Winifred (Glasheen) Farrell died in Verona (Ovid) LaMoure county North Dakota on July 28, 1933. William Farrell’s death date or location has not yet been found.
