  Jean Theiss, age 92, passed away at Alten Haus Assisted Living Home in Neenah, on February 16, 2011. Jean was born on April 12, 1918, in Kaukauna, to the late William and Cornelia (Kilsdonk) Busse. Jean was a 1936 graduate of Appleton School. She married Ignatius Theiss on June 21, 1938; he preceded her in death on April 20, 1989. Jean was a faithful member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church for more than 75 years, where she played the organ and was a choir member for many years. She is survived by her son, Michael (Margaret) Theiss, Mosinee, Wisconsin, and her daughter Barbara (Patrick) Leitermann, Appleton, her nine grandchildren and many great grandchildren. Jean is further survived by her sisters-in-law, Carrol Theiss, Appleton, and Genevieve Reuter, Kaukauna, and her brother-in-law, Arthur (Dorothy) Theiss, Appleton. She was preceded in death by her brothers, Robert and Gerald Busse, and her sisters Florence Vandehey and Joan White. The Funeral Liturgy will at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, February 26, 2011, at SACRED HEART CATHOLIC CHURCH, 222 E. Fremont Street, Appleton, with Fr. Norman Krutzik officiating. Friends may call directly at the church on Saturday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of services. In lieu of flowers, memorials are asked to be made to the American Heart Association. The family would like to extend a sincere thank you to the staff at Alten Haus Assisted Living Home for their loving care.
