Scott Vandehey from Beaverto n, Oregon; "My records show that "Mica" Mary Catherine, the oldest daught er of Henry and Petronella (van Bree) vandeHei , married Henry Hoevenaa rs in Zeeland, Holland on 02/28/1848.Federal census records in l860 and 1870 show that that they had two daught ers: Mary Ann and Petronella known as Ellen.I do not know who, when or where they married. This is where you can assi st me if you are Mary Ann's grandson.There is a Henry M. Hovenar born in Feb. of 1884. He is too young to be t he son of Henry and Mary Catherine Hovenar. She would have been 67 years o ld to be Heny M.'s mother. Since Henry M. and his wife are buried ne xt to Henry and Mary Catherine as well as lived in the same area of Hollan dtown, it is my guess that Henry M. is the son of either Mary Ann or Petro nella. He could have been a son born out of wedlock or the son of a marria ge that was short-termed and thus given the name of his mother's famil y. Do you have any information on this?"
