  Donald "Frog" Froehlich, of Appleton, passed away peacefully, surrounded by his family on April 13, 2010, at AMC. He was 82. Don was born on June 5, 1927, to the late Bernard and Florence (Gerry) Froehlich. After serving in the Army, he worked as an electrician at Riverside Paper mill. On October 16, 1948, he married the one love of his life, Rita Kohh. "Frog" enjoyed dancing, playing cards, fishing, flowers, motorcycles, and his greatest pleasure, a new car! Donald and Rita are charter members of St. Pius X Catholic Church. He was also a member of the American Legion Post #38. Donald is survived by his wife; children: Ron (Colleen), Christine (Rob) Glasel; grandchildren: Scott (Amy), Nathan (fiancee Gena) Froehlich, Jon (Laura) Glasel, Nicole Glasel; great-grandchildren: Cole and Louis Froehlich, Zoe Glasel; in-laws: Ken (Ginny) Kohl and Carol Mauthe. "Frog" will be greeted in Heaven by his parents; brothers, Gordon and Ralph; sisters: Myrtle Peske, Beatrice Schultz, Anita Gaulke; in-laws: Clinton, Lavern, Edward, James Kolh, Margarete VanderVelden and Mary Keefe. Funeral mass for Donald will be held on Saturday, April 17, 2010, at St. Pius X Catholic Church, 500 W Marquette, Appleton. Fr. Andy Kysely officiating. Friends may visit beginning at 9:30 a.m. until time of service at 11:30 a.m. The family would like to extend a very special thank you to the loving and caring staff of AMC Hospital and Appleton Healthcare Hospice for all the thoughtful and gentle care given to Donald.
