  Zachow, Margaret "Peg" 116 Harrison Ave., Clintonville Age 77, died Tuesday January 15, 2002 at the Appleton Medical Center. The Eberhardt-Stevenson Funeral Home, Clintonville is assisting her family with arrangements. Peg was born May 20, 1924 in Neenah, the daughter of the late Benjamin and Eva (Philpott) Rohan. Peg graduated from Appleton High School in 1942. She was a former superintendant of the Appleton Public Schools and studied voice and cello at the Lawrence College Conservatory of Music and at Lake Forest College in Illinois. She received her B.A. degree from Lake Forest College in 1946. She taught English and did school library work several years before moving to Clintonville in 1952 where she taught Jr. High School English. She was a member of Christ Congregational United Church of Christ in Clintonville where she was a Trustee, Deaconess, Choir Member, Christian Education Board Member and a Sunday School Teacher. She was united in marriage to George Zachow on June 19, 1948 in Clintonville. Peg was also a member of the Eastern Star, Clintonville Senior Women's Club, Clintonville Historical Society, American Legion Auxilllary, former secretary of the Public Library Board, a past president of the Clintonville branch of the American Association of University Women, a former officer and member of Job's Daughters of Appleton. Peg spent many happy years with her family at their summer cottage on Berry Lake in Gillett, Wisconsin. Survivors include her husband, George two sons: Paul (Karen) Zachow, Brown Deer Mark (Debra) Zachow, Clintonville three grandchildren: Kristy Ann, Stacey Lynn, Clintonville Jonathan David William Zachow, Brown Deer. She was preceded in death by her parents, a sister, her brother and sister-in-law, three nieces and a nephew. Memorial services will be held Saturday January 19, 2002 at 11:30 a.m. at the Christ Congregational United Church of Christ, Clintonville with the Rev. Beverly Lewis officiating and interment will be in Graceland Cemetery. Friends may call at the church only after 10:30 a.m. Saturday until the time of the service.
