Mary R. Krause, age 65, passed away surrounded by her loving family and friends at her home in Wild Rose on Thursday, September 15, 2016. She was born on December 29, 1950 to the late Ralph and Germaine (Wyngaard) Kasten in Appleton. She married Thomas Krause on June 2, 1984 And together raise two children. Mary enjoyed time around the campfire with family and friends for many years at Pineland Park in Wild Rose as well as playing bingo and slot machines. She had a lifetime of baking and cooking for her family and friends. She is survived by her loving husband of over 30 years, Tom Krause, two children; Sandy (Scott) Hietpas, Greenville and Brian (Jeanell) Krause, Chippewa Falls, four grandchildren; Joshua and Megan Hietpas, Ethan and Mackenzie Krause. Mary is further survived by seven siblings; Carolyn (Steve) Danielson, Waupaca, Bea Kasten, Appleton, Bruce (Dollie) Kasten, Minneapolis, Debra (Michael) Parker, Greenville, Julie (Mike) Hertziger, Appleton, Pam (Brian) Phillips, Appleton and Tina (Scott) Fafnis, Appleton. Mary is further survived by brother in law Gary (Sandy )Krause Big Falls, sisters in law, Audrey( Dennis) Myers, Neenah, Cindy (Dan) Klepps, Neenah and Laurie (Arlie) Ratliff, Appleton, many nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, one great great nephew, other relatives and friends. Preceding Mary in death are her parents, Ralph and Tiny Kasten, her in laws, Russ and Lois Krause, a nephew, Anthony Sievert and a great niece, Mara Stange. A memorial service will be held at 11:00am on Tuesday, September 20, 2016 at Valley Funeral Home, 2211 N Richmond St, Appleton. Visitation will be held from 9:00am until the time of service at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established.
