  Melchior, Helen P., KaukaunaAge 87, died Saturday May 17, 2003 at AMC. Helen was born January 2, 19 16 to the late Henry and Gertrude (Beckx) De Groot in Askeaton, WI. She ma rried Frank Van Stralen who preceded her in death in 1942 and then marri ed Peter Melchior who died in 1968. Helen was a longtime member of St. Ma ry Parish, volunteered at the St. Paul Home and was active in the Christi an Mothers Association.She is survived by her son, William (Natalia) Van Stralen of Combined Lock s; three grandsons, William Lee (Monica) Van Stralen of Eagan, MN, Dr. Ken neth Michael (Anja Robakowski) Van Stralen of Washington D.C. and John Jos eph (Anita) Van Stralen of Jamul, CA. She will also be greatly miss ed by 12 great grandchildren, Jessica Lynn, James Philip, Sarah Marie, Lau ra Jo, William Thomas, Eric Matthew, Laura Jean, Lindsey Margaret, Benedi ct William, Natalia Nicole, Stephanie Kate and John Ryan; three step daugh ters, Bernice (Harold) Wenzel of Wausau, Mernie (Harold) Roloff of Kaukau na and Shirley Leonard of Milwaukee; a step son in law, David Andrews of K aukauna, a sister, Gladys Micke of Wrightstown; and sisters in law, Lorrai ne De Groot and Alice De Groot.Preceded in death by her parents, both husbands, two sons, Rev. Dona ld J. and Rev. David L. Van Stralen, three brothers, Harold, William and J ohn De Groot, a sister, Leona and a stepdaughter, Dolores Andrews.The funeral service will be 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday May 20, 2003 at ST. MA RY CATHOLIC CHURCH, 119 W. 7TH Street, Kaukauna with Fr. Robert Uduluts ch officiating. Friends will be received on Tuesday at Church from 9:00 a. m. until the time of service. Burial will take place at St. Mary Cemeter y. A memorial is being established in Helen's name. The Boettcher Family F uneral Home is assisting the family. 766-2099.Helen was a loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She had a b ig heart for everyone and will be dearly missed.
