  Age 86, passed away at 4:15 p.m. Monday, August 16, 1965,in Appleton, WI. He was born on August 14, 1879, in the Town of Clayton, WI, the son of Flara & Sophia (Schefe) Bentle. He owned and operated cheese factories in the Towns of Greenville and Ellington from 1907 until his retirement in 1946. He then moved to Appleton and was employed at Appleton State Bank. He is survived by his wife, Josephine; three sons, Ralph (Alice) Bentle and Earl (Margaret) Bentle, both Appleton; Milton (Florence) Bentle, Hortonville; and 4 grandchildren; Richard, Robert, Jean and Sharon Bentle. Funeral services will be held at 2:30 p.m. Thursday, August 19, 1965, from Trinity Lutheran Church with Dr. I.B. Kindem officiating. Friends may call at the Wichmann Funeral Home after 4 p.m. on Wednesday, August 18, 1965, until 10 a.m. Thursday and then at the church until the hour of the service.
