  Arline E. Emrich, Appleton, age 96, died peacefully on Saturday, October 3, 2009, in Appleton after a short illness. Arline was born October 7, 1919, in Appleton to the late Louis and Emma (Mundt) Peterson. On October 16, 1937, she was united in marriage to Roger C. Emrich, whom she enjoyed 58 years with until his death in 1995. Together, Arline and Roger operated a retail grocery store in Appleton for many years. Later, she worked at Dorn's Super Market and Sears Catalogue. She was an avid bowler, golfer and card player. Most of all, Arline loved spending time with her grandchildren and their dogs. Arline was a longtime member at First Congregational Church, Appleton. She is survived by her daughter, Phyllis Saliture, Kenosha; her son, James (Cindy) Emrich, Wild Rose; four grandchildren: Lisa and John (special friend Karen) Saliture, and Tristan and Elyssa Emrich; a nephew, Robert (Judy) Petersen; and niece, Carol (Bernie) Bowes Winick. She is further survived by her childhood friend Evie Sanders, Appleton, and "the kids" (friends) at Pioneer Village. A funeral service for Aline will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, October 10 at Brettschneider-Trettin-Lederer Funeral Home with the Rev. Steve Savides officiating. Friends may visit at the funeral home on Saturday from 10 a.m. until the time of service. Interment will take place at Riverside Cemetery. Brettschneider Trettin-Lederer 606 N.
