  Elaine Mary Powers, 74, lifelong Green Bay resident, died peacefully in her sleep at home surrounded by her family Monday, June 28, 2004. She was born March 24, 1930, to Elmer and Helen (Hoebreckx) Barrette. She was a 1948 graduate of Green Bay West High School. Elaine married Michel J. Powers on August 26, 1950, at Annunciation Catholic Church. She retired from KI in 1992 after 25 years of service. Survivors include her husband, Michael; three sons and their spouses, William and Susan Powers, Timothy and Rebecca Powers, Christopher Powers; four grandchildren, Chase, Lauren, Michelle and Krista Powers; two sisters, Laverne VanderGeeten, Lucille Dennis; three sisters-in-law, Gladys Lamberg, Kathryn Neveu and Micky Powers. She was preceded in death by her parents. Friends may call at Blaney Funeral Home, 1521 Shawano Ave., from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday. A Parish Wake Service will be held at 6 p.m. Wednesday. Friends may also call at St. Jude Catholic Church from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. Thursday. The Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:30 a.m. Thursday at the church. Entombment will be in Allouez Chapel Mausoleum.
