Obituary13 Jun 2007 Appleton Post Crescent - Norma E. (Nelson) Hart, age 91, passed away Monday, June 11, 2007, at Willow Ridge Healthcare in Amery. She was born January 31, 1916, in Bloomer, the daughter of Nels & Emma (Hilson) Nelson. She was baptized, confirmed and married in Our Savior's Lutheran Church in Bloomer. She married Edwin L. Hart on May 30, 1937, in Bloomer. She was an excellent cook and baker, enjoyed playing the organ and piano and loved spending time with her family.
She is survived by four children: Edwin (Betty) Hart, Vancouver, WA; Ginny (Tom) Timmers, Neenah, WI; Mike Hart, Las Vegas, NV; John (Cynthia) Hart, Pasadena, CA; very special daughter-in-law: Nancy Burton Hart, Boulder, CO; a brother, Donald (Mary) Nelson, Bloomer; a sister, Florence Peterson, Amery; eight grandchildren: Tim (Leta) Hart, Steve (Susan) Hart, Mike (Dana) Hart, Trish (Trevor) Chalcraft, Jeff (Marte) Timmers, Sara (Pete) Bates, Mike (Stephanie) Timmers and Chris Hart; six great-grandchildren: Ryan Hart," J.T." Timmers, Margie Timmers, Mikayla Timmers, "P.J." Bates and Evelyn Chalcraft.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband of 57 years: Edwin; a brother, Richard Hart; two sisters: Hazel Nelson and Agnes Holleen.
The family would like to say a special thank you to Dr. Debra Strodhoff , all the staff at Amery Regional Hospital, the staff at Willow Ridge Healthcare in Amery, and Bonnie Eastvold & Becky Lueck from Hospice, for their kind and compassionate care of Norma.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, June 14, 2007, at 11 a.m. at the Scandinavian Lutheran Church, located near Bloomer in the Township of Woodmohr. Interment will be in the Scandinavian Church Cemetery. Friends may call from 10 a.m. until the time of service at the church on Thursday. There will be no visitation Wednesday evening. In lieu of flowers, memorials would be appreciated. Olson Funeral Home in Bloomer is in charge of arrangements.
