  Lucille "Lucy" A. Ebert, 89, New London, died on Sunday, May 20, 2007, at St. Joseph Residence in New London. She was born on Sept. 27, 1917, in New London, daughter of the late Edwin and Ella (Delzer) Stern. She married Alvin "Ted" Ebert, and he preceded her in death in 1986. Lucy and Ted owned and operated Eberts Bar in New London for 30 years. They were very supportive of New London Bulldog athletics. Lucy was also very active in New London Senior Citizen activities, and was a member of the VFW Auxiliary. She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in New London. She is survived by three sons, Gerald (Faye) Ebert, Appleton; Ted (Jody) Ebert, McDonough, Ga.; Ken (Carole) Ebert, New London; six grandchildren, Wayne (Michelle) Ebert, Bryan (Peggy) Ebert, Tammy (Kevin) Smith, Eric, Craig and Luke Ebert; seven great-grandchildren, Elizabeth, Olivia, Alexandria, Nicholas, Christopher, Mariah and Claudia; three brothers, Bud (Kate) Stern, New London; Ed Jr. (Millie) Stern, Northport; Lloyd (Kathy) Stern, Northport; three sisters, Evelyn Burton, Green Bay; her fraternal twin, Lorraine Johnson, New London; Marjorie Uratani, California. She is further survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends. Lucy was preceded in death by her parents; a sister, Ethel Westphal; a brother, Gordon Stern and an infant sister, Margaret Stern and a grandson, Scott Ebert. The funeral service for Lucy will be held on Thursday, May 24, 2007, at 10:30 a.m. at Trinity Lutheran Church in New London with the Rev. Bill Sutlief officiating. Burial will be in Floral Hill Cemetery, New London. Friends may call at the Cline & Hanson Funeral Home in New London on Wednesday from 4 to 8 p.m. and at the church on Thursday from 9:30 a.m. until the time of the service.
