- Daniel E. Deprey, 72, Green Bay, died at home following a six year battle with cancer. He was born in Green Bay, Sept. 4, 1935, to the late Martin and Charlotte (Lyman) Deprey. Dan graduated from East High School the Class of 1954. He married the former Mary Maes on April 28, 1962. Dan was employed at James River Paper Company, retiring in January of 1995. He served two years in the United States Army stationed in Korea.
Dan is survived by his wife of 45 years, Mary, Green Bay; three sons and daughters-in-law, Dean (Wendy) and Martin (Katie), all of Green Bay; and Glenn (Pam), North Carolina; daughter and son-in-law, Nancy (Tim) Basten, Green Bay; grandchildren, Dylan, Evan, Levi, Abby and Nick Deprey, Tyler, Travis and Troy Basten; special grandchildren, Heather and Nicole Kurth; sisters and brothers and their spouses, Jeanne (Merlin) Cartier, Ceil (Bob) Patzke, Connie Letourneau, MaryAnn Prochaska, Karen (Don) Collins, Wayne, Tom (Jeri), Jim (Mary), and Ron Deprey; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Doris Diny, Ruth Hartstern, Phyllis Doyen, John Maes, Jim (Sharon) Maes, Jean (Jerry) Fameree, Dick (Anne) Maes, Pat Maes, Betty (Lee) Olsen, and Tom (Bonnie) Maes; many nieces and nephews.
Dan was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Donald, Melvin, and Larry Deprey.
Visitation at MALCORE Funeral Home (East), University Ave. at Baird Street, Sunday from 4 to 8 p.m. and prior to the funeral on Monday. Parish wake service 7:30 p.m. Sunday.
