  John B. Newhouse, 64, Freedom, died at 7 o'clock last night in Appleton after a 3-week illness. Born in Alabama, he moved to Freedom when he was a child. He was a member of St Theresa and Holy Name societies of St. Nicholas church, Freedom. Survivors are the widow; two daughters, Mrs. Walter Romanesko, route 2. Kaukauna; Gertrude, at home; five sons, Raymond, Emmet, route 2, Kaukauna; Bernard, Lester, Kimberly: Harold, route 1, Kaukauna; two brothers, Henry, Freedom, and Anton, Kimberly; 19 grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 3 o'clock Friday afternoon at St. Nicholas church. Freedom, with the Rev. A. W. Van Dyke in charge. Burial will be in the parish cemetery. Funeral mass will be held at 9 o'clock Monday morning. Prayer services will be held at 8 o'clock tonight, Wednesday, and Thursday nights at the home.
