- Hartz, Janice L.Janice L. Hartz, age 79, of Brillion, formerly of Potter, died Friday, Nov ember 5, 2004 at Harbor House in De Pere. She was born on February 23, 19 25 in Rantoul, daughter of the late Raymond and Ruth (Bettner) Aplin. S he married Harvey Hartz on August 20, 1946 in Potter.Janice was a member of Peace Evangelical & Reformed Church in Potter, whe re she and Harvey served as custodians. She sang in the choir and taught S unday School for many years, and was also a member of the Women's Guild a nd Wedding Band.Survivors include her children: Marles (John) Henderson, New Albany, IN; H arlan (Mary) Hartz, Abrams; Trudi (Daniel) Skolaski, Arbor Vite; Kristi ne (Kent) Myers, Winona, MN; Tami (Michael) Quist, Wauwatosa; 11 grandchil dren: Scott, Brad, and Lauren Henderson; Tony and Matt Skolaski, Noel, Nat han, and Seth Myers, Jason, Tyler, and Justin Quist; two great-grandchildr en, Taylor and Ana Skolaski; a step grandchild, Julie (Rob) Giesen; and th ree step great-grandchildren: Vanessa, Bobbi, and Missy Giesen; five siste rs and brothers: Dolores Knoespel, Green Bay; Betty (Royal) Becker, Brilli on; Darlene (Jerome) Mertz, Potter; Jim (Audrey) Aplin, Potter; Bonnie (Ke n) Monty, Mosinee; her sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law: Dorothy (Car l) Riemer, Brillion; Delores Hartz, Hilbert; Deloris Aplin, Brillion; Nan cy Aplin, Brillion; many nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.She was preceded in death by her husband Harvey on May 3, 1999; two brothe rs: Eugene Aplin and Jerome Aplin; and two brothers-in-law: Willard Knoesp el and Harold Hartz.Funeral service will be held Monday, November 8th at 11 a.m. at Peace Evan gelical & Reformed Church in Potter. The Rev. Marc Axelrod will officiat e. Burial will be in the Potter Cemetery. Friends may call at the Wieti ng Funeral Home in Brillion on Sunday from 3:30 - 6:30 p.m. and then at t he church on Monday from 10 a.m. until the of service.
