Albers, Jerome P.Jerome P. Albers, 92, De Pere, died early Friday morning, Jan. 30, 2004, s urrounded by his family, after a short illness. The son of the late Mart in and Mary (Minten) Albers was born May 22, 1911, in De Pere. On Ju ne 8, 1940, he married the former Bernice Thomson at St. Joseph Churc h, De Pere. She preceded him in death on Oct. 9, 1996. Jerome was a homebu ilder with Martin Albers & Sons, later called Albers Builders. Mr. Albe rs was a charter member of the De Pere Area Golden K Club. He was an acti ve member at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church in De Pere and a regul ar attendee at the 7:30 a.m. Mass Group.Survivors include his eight children and their spouses, Jerome M. and P at Albers, Wausau; Dennis and June Albers, Morton, Ill.; Karen and Dick Te ske, Boulder Junction; Lynn and Dick Danen, De Pere; Curt and Sandi Alber s, De Pere; John and Leslie Albers, Victoria, Canada; Chuck and Patti Albe rs, De Pere; Marty and Barb Albers, Ashwaubenon; 27 grandchildren, 12 grea t-grandchildren. One sister, Johanna Vanden Heuvel; sister-in-laws, Mar ie Albers and Helen Green, Lydia Wozniak, Dorothy Thomson, Betty Thomso n, Della Spreeman, and Vi and Aloysius Smits further survive him.His wife; two infant children; three brothers, Bernard, Raphael, Ambros e; and a sister, Matilda Quinette preceded him in death.Friends may call at RYAN FUNERAL HOME, 305 N. Tenth St., from 2 to 6 p. m. Sunday, Feb. 1, 2004. Parish prayer service will be held at 3 p.m. Visi tation will continue after 9:30 a.m. Monday at Our Lady of Lourdes Cathol ic Church, Suburban Drive at Lourdes Avenue, De Pere, until time of servic e. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Monday at the ch urch with the Rev. Conrad Kratz, officiating.
