  Donald A. Vissers, 80, a Green Valley resident for several years and formerly of Kimberly, Wis, passed away unexpectedly on August 29, 2009. A U.S. Army veteran, he fought in the Korean War. He was actively involved in and was past commander of the American Legion Post 60 in Kimberly. He was also active in the VFW and the Elks Club. He is survived by brother Vince; sons Mark and Jeffrey; and grandchildren Cameron and Katelynn, "Katie." He was preceded in death by Fran, his wife of 52 years; and son Michael, "Mick." Services were held at Our Lady of the Valley Catholic Church on Sept. 3, 2009. Remembrances may be made to the National Breast Cancer Foundation. Published: Saturday, September 5, 2009 4:14 PM MST
