  Frieda Marie Utschig Appleton Age 84, died Sunday, July 30, 2000. She was born August 15, 1915, the daughter of John and Rose (Miesen) Utschig. She was employed as a knitting mill operator at Zwicker's Knitting mill from 1951 until her retirement in 1977. She will be well remembered for her love of card playing. She is survived by a nephew, John (Beverly) Kobal of Appleton; three nieces, Mary Kobal, Appleton; Roseann Kimm, Carson City, Nevada; and Kathy (Thomas) Holston, Appleton. She is also survived by eight great-nieces and nephews, three great-great-nephews and her very close and special friends Phyllis and Art Malchow. She was preceded in death by her parents and one sister, Madlyn Kobal. Services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, August 2, 2000, at St. Joseph Catholic Church 404 W. Lawrence St., Appleton, with Father John Holly officiating. Visitation will be from 10 a.m.until the time of services at the church.
