    J. T. Doerfler, Kimberly Bank Director, Dies Retired ot President; Manager of Kimberly Mill
    KIMBERLY - Joseph T. Doerfler. 75. route 1, Menasha, of the Kimberly State Bank, died at 9:30 Monday night after a short illness.
    He had retired from the bank Aug. 22. Funeral services will be held at 10 a. m. Thursday in Holy Name Catholic Church at Kimberly. Burial will be in St. Joseph Cemetery, Appleton. An organizer of the Kimberly bank in 1920, Doerfler was named
    director in 1942 and elected president in 1953. He continued as a director after his resignation until his death.
    Doerfler became village president of Kimberly in 1919 and held that office until 1933. He also served as a member of the planning
    commission from 1914 to 1951, village board of supervisors from 1914 to 1930 and a school board member from 1929 until 1943.
    First associated with Kimberly-Clark in 1905, Doerfler moved his family to Kimberly in 1912. He was named mill manager in 1928
    and on his retirement in 1953 had worked for the corporation for 48 years. He was born in Appleton April 6, 1888, and was a member of the Holy Name Society. Surviving are the widow, five daughters, four sons, 23 grandchildren and one great - grandchild.
