    Chapelle, Rita MarieChapelle, Rita Marie (Van Domelen) Nee Toonen, Appleton, age 85, passed aw ay on Sunday, July 9, 2006, at Brewster Village. She was born on May 9, 19 21, in Appleton to the late Martin J. and Elizabeth S. (Reider) Toonen. Ri ta was a 1939 graduate of Appleton High School. On June 18, 1941, she marr ied Joseph Van Domelen in Appleton, he preceded her in death On Janua ry 5, 1963. She was again united in marriage on October 2, 1969, in Applet on to Robert Chapelle, who passed away on June 27, 1993.Rita was a lifelong member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, and belong ed to the Christian Mothers' Society. She was a volunteer for 20 yea rs at St. Joseph Food Pantry. Rita was proud of the fact that she was a me mber of the first graduating class of Appleton High School. Rita enjoyed b owling and was a member of the 600 Club.     Ethel Dorothy Lambie, age 87, died peacefully on Wednesday, August 27, 2015 at her home with her daughter at her side.
    Toni was born on August 20, 1928 in Appleton the daughter of the late Martin and Elizabeth (Reider) Toonen. She was a lifelong resident of the Appleton area and was an Appleton High School graduate. She was united in marriage on August 14, 1948 to the love of her life C. Murch Lambie. They shared 55 wonderful years together before Murch preceded her in death in February of 2004. Toni was the "Best Mom in the World" to her four children. Toni was a charter member of St. Pius X Catholic Parish of Appleton. She very much enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren, nieces and nephews. A big part of her life was lending a helping hand.
    Toni was a wonderful wife, mother and a fantastic grandmother and friend, who will be sadly missed by all who knew her. She is survived by her four children, Christine (Richard) Bradley, Appleton; Michael (Diane) Lambie, Gilbert, Arizona; Patrick Lambie, Appleton; Lisa (James) Bartlein, Hudson, WI; six grandchildren, Stacie (James) Bradley-Rice, Scott (Sara) Orsted- Bradley, Katherine (Harry Puryear) Bartlein, Michael Bartlein, Alysia Fabricius and Taylor Lambie and three great-grandchildren, Leo and Elsie Orsted-Bradley and Lincoln Puryear. She is further survived by many nieces, nephews, and wonderful friends and neighbors. She was also preceded in death by three brothers, Harold, Jerome and Thomas Toonen and two sisters, Rita Chapelle and Betty Tiedt.
    The Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:30 a.m. on Tuesday, September 1, 2015 at St. Pius X Catholic Parish, 500 W. Marquette Street, with the Rev. Thomas J. Farrell officiating. Interment will be in Highland Memorial Park, Appleton. Toni's family will receive relatives and friends at the church on Tuesday from 9:30 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers a memorial fund is being established.
    A very special thank you to her P.A.T.H. nurse Tracy, who treated her with compassionate care. She also wanted to thank Terry, Jodi, Karen and Meg for their unending devotion.

    David Martin Toonen, age 35, of Menasha, passed away peacefully at home on Saturday, March 11, 2017, after a courageously fought battle with Muscular Dystrophy. He was born May 25, 1981 in Appleton, son of Jerry "Butch" Toonen and Judith Schindhelm Toonen .
    David grew up in Menasha and graduated from Menasha High School in 1999. He earned his Associates Degree from Fox Valley Technical College in Accounting. David was a devoted sports fan and loved the Packers, Brewers and Badgers. He also enjoyed listening to books on tape, trivia, going to the movies, watching Seinfeld and the Simpsons, going out to eat and family get togethers. David was an inspiration to everyone he encountered in life.
    He is survived and will be sorely missed by his mother and step-father, Judy (Kevin) Buchanan; step brothers and sister: Eric, Nicole and Bobby Buchanan; special niece, Emilee; aunts and uncles: Jean (Lyle) Zuleger, Jim (Chris) Schindhelm, John (Linda) Schindhelm, Don Schindhelm, Richard (Ronda) Schindhelm, Mary Schindhelm, Mike (Jill) Schindhelm, Cathy (John) Wilharms, John Toonen, Willian (Gert) Buchanan, June (Mark) Buchanan, Byran (Christine) Buchanan, Cheryl (Howard) Whitney; and numerous other cousins, relatives and friends.
    David was lovingly cared for by Linda Piotrowski, Juliana Eposi Esoka, Kris Pagel, and David's cousins, Dan (Lisa) Schindhelm and Shari (Aaron) Signer.
    He was preceded in death by his father, Butch Toonen; brother, Steven Toonen; maternal grandparents, Bob and Ann Schindhelm; paternal grandparents, Jerry and Joyce Toonen and step-brother Luke Mix.
    A Packer Themed Celebration of David's Life will be held at 7:00 PM on Wednesday, March 15, 2017, at Menasha's Westgor Funeral Home. The visitation will be held from 4:00 PM until the hour of service. In lieu of flowers a memorial is being established.
    The family would like to thank the many health care professionals who have worked with David over the years, to provide a long and high quality of life.

    Toonen, Steven M.Steven M. Toonen, age 20, of Menasha, died peacefully Wednesday, April 2 8, 2004, after a courageous battle with Muscular Dystrophy. He was born Oc tober 3, 1983 in Neenah, son of Jerry and Judy (Schindhelm) Toonen. Stev en graduated from Menasha High School in 2002. He was currently attendi ng Fox Valley Technical College studying computer science. Steven was admi red and respected by the faculty and his fellow students for his passi on to succeed despite his medical and physical challenges. He was a devot ed Packer fan and sports enthusiast. Steven and his brother, David, fulfil led a dream when they were invited by Coach Mike Sherman to meet the enti re Packer team at the 2003 spring mini-camp. Through Make-A-Wish foundati on the brothers were able to attend Super Bowl XXX in Tempe, AZ and then a lso meet Michael Jordan.
