Obituary:
Lorraine M. (Snell) Vanden Bloomer, Appleton, age 77, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, January 21, 2007. She was born in Appleton on March 8, 1929, daughter of the late Lester and Hilda Snell. Lorraine loved going out for coffee and being with her friends. She was a devoted and lifelong member of St. Paul Lutheran Church, Appleton.
Lorraine is survived by her son: Danny (Sheryl) Snell of Appleton; grandchildren: Tammy (Scott) Van Linn of Appleton and their children: Sebastian and Aspen; Jesi Brey of Appleton and her children: Tayler and Jordan; Jeff Snell of Eden Prairie, MN; brother, Norman Snell; sisters: Phyllis (Earl) Springstroh, Lois Jean (Carlton) Tiedt, Janice (Wayne) Seegers, Doris Felzer, Susan (John) Hinchley and Diane Bowers; brother-in-law, Terry Howard; and many other nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her brother, Lester F. Snell; sister, Patsy Howard; brothers-in-law: Stanley Felzer and Jerry Bower; and a sister-in-law, Doris Snell.
The funeral service will be at 11 a.m. on Thursday, January 25, 2007, at St. Paul Lutheran Church, 302 N. Morrison St., Appleton, with Rev. John C. Baumann and Rev. Ralph C. Waack officiating. Friends will be received at the church from 9:30 a.m. until the time of the service. Burial will be in Appleton Highland Memorial Park.
The family extends a special thank you to the staff at Country Terrace for being very good and close to her.
