    Rita Mary Pritzl, 91, of Appleton, died Monday July 11, 2016 at Prairie Homes House of Faith, Menasha. She was born in Appleton on November 28, 1924, daughter of the late George and Elizabeth (Schmidt) Sturm. Rita was united in marriage to Richard J. Pritzl on November 28, 1944 in Appleton. Richard preceded her in death on February 5, 2008.
    Rita was an exceptionally hard worker, early in her life as a farm hand, through marriage and maintaining a household, raising nine children, and working outside the home. She played an integral role in her husband's business as well. Rita enjoyed crafts, crocheting, sewing and making countless beautiful gifts for her children. Her hands were never idle. Rita will be deeply missed by her family.
    Rita is survived by her nine children: daughter, Jean (James) Schricker, and her children: Christopher (Kathleen), Constance (George), Curt, and Cynthia (Blaine); son, Lee (Margaret), and his children: Samuel, and Sarah (Ben); daughter, Linda (William) Jarzombeck, and her children: Jeffrey (Rachel), Philip (Beth), and Jennifer; daughter, Eileen (Gary) Van Boxtel, and her children: Andrew (Kendra), and Joseph (Rebecca); daughter, Diane (Vincent) Neumann, and her children: Jason (Stacy), Peter (Heather), Rachel (Michael), and Matthew (Kate); son, James (Jeanne), and his children: Benjamin (Lane), and Lucas (Alissa); daughter, Theresa (Ralph) Bates; son, William (Jane), and his children: Elizabeth, and Shelly (Michael); and daughter, Lisa (Charles) Cook. Rita is further survived by three brothers: George (Mary) Sturm, Al Strum, and Cyril Sturm; two sisters: Elaine Kurey, and Patty (Glen) Griesbach; two sisters in-law: St. Lucile Pritzl, and Marie Jezerc; and two brothers in-law: Victor (Donna) Pritzl, and Harold (Dolly) Pritzl. She was further preceded in death by four sisters in-law: Lorraine Ulman, Frances Sturm, Marilyn Sturm, and Laverne (Don) Monyette; and seven brothers in-law, Ted Sturm, Leroy Kurey, Cliff Ulman, Ray (Ardina) Pritzl, Julius (Isabelle) Pritzl, Robert (Bernice) Pritzl, and Eldora Jimenz.
    Mass of Christian burial for Rita will be celebrated at 11:00 AM on Friday July 15, 2016 at ST. BERNARD CATHOLIC CHURCH, 1617 W Pine St., with Fr Dennis Ryan officiating.
    Visitation will be held at the church on Friday morning beginning at 9:00 AM until the hour of service. Burial will be at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery.

    Rita's family would like to extend a special thank you to the entire staff at Prairie Homes House of Faith Assisted Living, especially her caregivers, Kayla, Tania, Faith, Danielle, and Debra, for all of their care and compassion.
