    Van Beek, George J.George J. Van Beek, age 89, of Menasha, died Sunday, April 17, 2005, at Ce ntury Oaks. He was born June 3, 1915, Kimberly, son of Martin and Catheri ne (Hodemakers) Van Beek. George married Cecelia Bauer in June 1937 in Gre enville and she preceded him in death in 1946. He married Ann Vitek, Apr il 26, 1947, in Neenah. George was employed at Kimberly Clark Corporati on Badger Globe for 41 years prior to his retirement in 1977 and was a mem ber of their Quarter Century Club. He raised racing pigeons and was a memb er of the Valley Pigeon Club and he enjoyed fishing.George is survived by his wife, Ann, a son, Donald (Donna) Van Beek, Menas ha; a son-in-law, Algi Mitka, S. Milwaukee; three grandchildren: Dan Van B eek, Neenah; Susan (Marty) Felker, Bartlett, Illinois; Luann Van Beek, Men asha; two great-grandchildren: Randy and Anna Felker; a sister, Mary (Jerr y) Lund, Florida; four sisters-in-law: Veronica (Lawrence) Jochman, Rosema ry Mennen and Esther Karls, all of Appleton; Marcella (Emil) Pechous, Yank ton, South Dakota; a brother-in-law, Ivan Vitek, Yankton, South Dakota; nu merous nieces and nephews.Mr. Van Beek was also preceded in death by a daughter, Marlene Mitka; t wo brothers: Jack and Martin Van Beek; numerous brothers- and sisters-in-l aw.Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, April 20, 2005, at S t. John the Baptist Catholic Church, Menasha with Rev. Paul Radetski offic iating. Interment will be in St. Margaret Cemetery, Neenah. Friends may ca ll at the church from 9 a.m. Wednesday until the time of the mass. A memor ial has been established.The family wishes to express a special thank you to the staffs at Centu ry Oaks, Irish Road and the Heartland Hospice for all their kindness, go od care and compassion.
