Glaser, Gera ld E. "Jerry"Gerald E. Glaser, "Jerry," Appleton, age 79, peacefully passed away on Wed nesday, September 27, 2006, at his home. He was born on November 16, 192 6, in Grand Chute to the late Lester and Louise (Kirchner) Glaser. On Ju ne 4, 1949, he married June Griesbach in Hortonville and they shared 57 wo nderful and faithful years of marriage until she preceded him in death ju st three months ago on June 27, 2006. Jerry proudly served his country dur ing WWII with the United States Army. He had a milk route for several yea rs with Utschig Dairy, did route delivery for the Appleton Post-Crescen t, and worked in packaging at Fox River Paper Company until his retiremen t. He was a member and usher at Sacred Heart Parish. He enjoyed retiremen t, playing cards and Bump Off with his family, gardening, and had a passi on for cars, especially his new white Buick.
He will be sadly missed by his children: Randy (Donna), Appleton; Connie ( Roy) Mueller, Appleton; Cindy (Dave) Dorn, Shiocton; Scott (Tina) Green Ba y; grandchildren: Michelle Glaser, Shannon (Kelvin) Ayres, Kristi, Brya n, and Michael Mueller, Mitchell Dorn, Stephanie and Jacob Glaser; siste r, Erma (Guy) Thompson, Appleton; sisters-in-law, Betty Glaser and Dorot hy Glaser, both of Appleton.In addition to his parents and his loving wife, June, he was preceded in d eath by an infant son, Joseph Glaser; grandson, Chad Glaser; and two broth ers, Orville and Stanley.Funeral services for Jerry will be held on Saturday, September 30, 200 6, at 11 a.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church (222 E. Fremont Street) wi th Father Robert Karuhn officiating. Friends may call at the funeral ho me on Friday, September 29, 2006, from 4 until 7 p.m. and again on Saturd ay from 10 a.m. until the time of the mass directly at church. Interment w ill be in Highland Memorial Park on Monday, October 2.The family would like to thank Jerry's neighbors on Madison Street for a ll their kindness, support, and friendships.
