    Patricia Johnson, age 86, passed away at the Appleton Medical Center on Monday, June 13, 2011. Pat was born in Appleton on March 20, 1925, daughter of the late Emil and Hattie (Grimm) Droes. In 1943, she graduated from Appleton High School, and recently attended her 68th high school reunion. As a young woman, Patricia was employed as a bookkeeper for Valley Iron Works, and later assisted her husband and then her daughter with their businesses. Pat was married to Gwyn Johnson for fifty-six years; he preceded her in death in 2001.
    Patricia will be remembered by all as a devoted religious woman who was an avid bible worker. Spending time with her family and loved ones was most important to her and she was frequently in their company.
    She is survived by her daughter: Sachy (Daniel) Abendroth of Appleton; three grandchildren: Nicholas Abendroth of Appleton and his fiancee Stacey Schnetzer; Barry Johnson of Stoughton; and Heidi Johnson of Minneapolis; a daughter-in-law: Susan Johnson of Middleton; a twin sister: Pauline Heimermann of Appleton; two brothers-in-law: Lyle Schwalbach of Appleton and Vernon Wiese of Appleton; and close niece: Julie Allard.
    She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Gwyn, her son Thomas in 1997, sisters Beatrice Schwalbach and Beverly Wiese; and a brother-in-law Leroy Heimermann. A memorial service for Patricia will be held at 4 p.m. on Saturday, June 18, 2011, at Fox Valley Adventist Church, 265 S. Green Bay Road in Neenah. Friends may call at the church on Saturday from 3 p.m. until the time of the memorial service.

    Schwalbach, Beatrice D.: Beatrice D. Schwalbach, age 74, entered her heavenly home Wednesday, April 12, 2006, at Cherry Meadows Hospice surrounded by her loving family following a courageous 6?-year battle with cancer. Beatrice was born October 12, 1931, in Appleton to Emil and Hattie (Krase) Droes. On October 19, 1957, she married Lyle.
    Beatrice was a lifetime member of St Paul Ev. Lutheran Church and was a member of the Ladies Aide. She worked at Zwicker Knitting Mills until becoming a stay-at-home mom to Julie. Beatrice enjoyed crocheting, feeding the birds, and time at the trailer on Lake Poygan.
    Beatrice is survived by her husband, Lyle; daughter, Julie (Mike) Allard of Appleton; son, Randy and fiance Sherri Volkman of Larsen; three sisters: Pauline (Leroy) Heimerman, Patricia Johnson and Beverly (Vernon) Wiese, all of Appleton; special niece, Sachy; sisters-in-law, Elaine Krueger and Joyce Jens. She is further survived by many numerous nieces and nephews, friends and "special granddogs," Odie and Shadow.
    She was preceded in death by her mother and father; two nephews, Tom Johnson and Terry Johnson; three brothers-in-law: Bill Krueger, Bill Jens and Gwyn Johnson.
    Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, April 15, 2006, at St. Paul Lutheran Church, 323 N. Morrison, Appleton, with Pastor John Baumann officiating. Visitation will be Friday, April 14, 2006, from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Valley Funeral Home and also from 10 a.m. until the time of service at the church. Interment will be at Highland Memorial Park Cemetery.

    Beatrice's family would like to extend a special Thank You to Dr. Anthony Phillips, the staff at Martha Siekman Cancer Center, 3rd Floor Oncology and the wonderful staff and volunteers at Cherry Meadows.

    Beverly J. Wiese, age 75, of Appleton, passed away Wednesday evening, April 4, 2007, at St. Luke's Hospital in Milwaukee. She was born October 12, 1931, daughter of the late Emil and Hattie (Krause) Droes. On February 23, 1952, she was united in marriage to Vernon Wiese in Appleton.
    Bev was a member of Our Savior's Lutheran Church, Appleton, and did a lot of volunteer work throughout the county.
    She is survived by her husband, Vernon; her sons: Chuck (Karen) Wiese, Fairfax, VA; and Mark (Patricia) Wiese, Neenah; also her granddaughters: Melissa Wiese, Houston, TX; Jennifer Wiese, Granbury, TX; and Lisa Wiese, Neenah. She is further survived by her two sisters: Patricia Johnson, and Pauline (Leroy) Heimerman, all of Appleton; also one brother-in-law, Lyle Schwalbach, Appleton.
    She was preceded in death by her twin sister, Beatrice Schwalbach and two brothers-in-law.
    Friends may call at Our Savior's Lutheran Church, 3009 N. Meade St., Appleton, on Saturday, April 6, 2007, from 1 p.m. until the funeral services at 2 p.m., with Pastor Todd Smith officiating. The burial will be at the Highland Memorial Park Cemetery, Appleton. The Muehl-Boettcher Funeral Home, Seymour is assisting the family.     Bev was a recipient of a heart transplant. She was a strong advocate of organ donation and encouraged others to consider that gift.

    Nick Abendroth, age 32, died suddenly on April 4, 2012 at his home. Nick was born in Appleton on January 22, 1980, son of Dan and Sachy (Johnson) Abendroth. Nick attended Wilson Middle School, Appleton West High School, and received an Associate's Degree from UW-Fox Valley. In 2005, he graduated from Ripon College with degrees in political science and business administration. Nick was gifted, and everyone was comfortable around him. That's what gave him the ability to be successful and to enjoy his work in sales. He had been employed by Les Stumpf Ford, Lou's Straight Shot in Menasha, and most recently for West Business Services. Many will also remember Nick for his complex political viewpoints, and for being a staunch supporter of the Republican Party.
    Nick enjoyed his writing, playing golf, piano, shooting pool, playing dominoes, reading, cooking (especially grilled brisket), and entertaining friends and family.
    Nick is survived by his parents: Dan and Sachy Abendroth of Appleton; his fiancée and love of his life: Stacey Schnetzer of Appleton; Stacey's parents: Mike and Mary Schultz of Hortonville and their son Jacob; maternal grandmother: Mary Abendroth of Appleton; special cousins: Julie, Lora, Amy, and Heidi; a maternal aunt: Sue Johnson; several paternal aunts and uncles: Eugene, Amy, Mike, Ava, Mary, Annette, John, and Anne and their spouses and families; a great-aunt: Agnes Johnson; dear friends: Annette Marta Baehman and her sons Tim Marta and Steve Marta; as well as his four-legged buddies: Billy, Molly, and Gabby. Nick is also survived by other relatives, countless friends, and his Theta Chi brothers.
    Memorial services for Nick will be held at 3:00 PM on Sunday, April 8, 2012 at Fox Valley Seventh Day Adventist Church, 265 S. Green Bay Road in Neenah. Friends will gather at the church on Sunday afternoon from 1:00 PM until the time of the service.
