Obituary:
Lois Ann Witzke, 82, of Appleton, died Tuesday December 13, 2016, at ThedaCare Regional Medical Center, Appleton. She was born in Appleton, March 19, 1934, daughter of the late, Elmer and Hazel (Martin) Knutson. Lois married James Witzke on January 26, 1958. He preceded her in death in 1989.
Lois was a member of Our Saviour's Lutheran Church, Appleton. James owned and operated Knights Jewelry since 1969. Lois spent many happy hours working at the store with James and their two sons, Mark and Michael, even as recent as a few weeks ago, Lois still helped out, working when she was able., It is still family owned and operated by her son, Michael. She loved animals, not just her own dogs and cats, but all animals. She enjoyed taking her dogs to the Outagamie County Dog Park when she was able. Lois's greatest enjoyment came from her time she was able to spend with her family, especially her grandchildren.
Lois is survived by her son, Michael; three granddaughters: Emma, Jade and Chyna Witzke; her brother: Peter (Nan) Knutson; and a step grandson: Damien Keller. Lois was further preceded in death by her son, Mark, and daughter, Susan.
Funeral service for Lois will be 11:00 AM on Monday December 19, 2016 at VALLEY FUNERAL HOME, with Rev. Kurt Hoffman officiating. Visitation will held at the funeral home Monday morning beginning at 10:00 until the 11:00 AM service. Entombment will be at Highland Memorial Park, Appleton.

Obituary:
Mark Witzke, age 52 of Appleton, passed away unexpectedly at his home on Thursday evening, December 20, 2012. Mark was born in Appleton on December 31, 1959, son of the late James Witzke and Lois (Knutson) Witzke who survives. Mark was a graduate of Appleton West High School, and also enrolled in Watchmaking School in St. Paul, Minnesota. On April 28, 1984, he married the former LaVonne Handschke - she survives. For many years, he worked alongside his dad, Jim Witzke, at Knight's Jewelers in Appleton. Eventually, Mark took the business over from his dad and operated on his own for a lengthy time. Mark loved Lake Superior and dreamed of retiring on its shores one day. He enjoyed dinner out on Saturday nights and also loved art - he was well known for creating his own beautiful, one-of-a-kind pieces. He traveled all over Wisconsin and showed his jewelry-work at art shows and art fairs.
Mark is survived by his mother: Lois Witzke; his wife: LaVonne Witzke; two daughters: Jade (Matthew) Mathys and Chyna Witzke; a step-son: Damian Keller; a brother: Michael Witzke; a sister: Susan Witzke; a sister-in-law: Linda (Harold) Balsiger; his nieces and nephews: Emma Witzke, Erin Balsiger, Chad Balsiger, and Ryan (Theresa) Balsiger; and his mother-in-law: Lila Handschke. He was preceded in death by his father Jim Witzke and his father-in-law Lloyd Handschke.
A memorial service for Mark will be held at 7:00 PM on Thursday, December 27, 2012 at the Wichmann Funeral Home, 537 N. Superior Street in Appleton. Rev. Dennis Ellisen will officiate. Friends may call at the funeral home on Thursday afternoon from 5:00 PM until the time of the service. Online condolences can be expressed at www.wichmannfargo.com.
Mark will be remembered by his family for being the best husband and father anyone could ask for. He was a quiet man who really had no need for material things - his loved ones were his world.

Susan A. Witzke, 51 of Appleton, died Saturday May 21, 2016. She was born in Madison on July 11, 1964, daughter of James and Lois (Knutson) Witzke.
Susan worked for Plexus Corp for 8 years. She was currently employed with Ducommun LaBarge Technologies, Appleton. Susan loved animals, not just her own 2 dogs and 2 cats, but all animals. She enjoyed taking her dogs to the Outagamie dog park. She volunteered her time at the Fox Valley Humane Association "Bark in the Park" event.
Susan is survived by her mother, Lois; brother, Michael; three nieces, Emma, Jade, and Chyna Witzke; her uncle, Peter (Nan) Knutson. She is further survived by her good friend, Donna; and many cousins. She was preceded in death by her father, James; brother, Mark; and her grandparents.
Memorial service for Susan will be held 11:00 AM on Thursday May 26, 2016 at VALLEY FUNERAL HOME, with Rev. Dennis Ellisen officiating. Visitation will be at the funeral home on Thursday morning beginning at 10:00 AM until the hour of service.
