Obituary:
Wesley R. Sachs, (Wes), age 79, of Appleton, passed away peacefully at his daughter's home on September 8, 2004, after a lengthy battle with cancer. He was born in Appleton, the son of Otto and Laura (Meyer) Sachs. On April 24, 1948, he married Genevieve Osowsky, who passed away on May 16, 1991.
Wes is survived by his children: David R. Sachs, Madison; Thomas (Jeanine) Sachs, Hortonville; Kathleen (Brian) Schiltz, Freedom; Grandchildren: Tina (Brett) Gehring, Amanda and Michael Sachs, Krystal and Katelyn Schiltz Brothers and Sister: Roger (Judy) Sachs, Howard; Vernon (Marcella) Sachs, Seymour; Arlene (Ralph) Kneisler, Seymour; In-laws: Scholastica (Henry) Emons, Darboy; John VanderWyst, Fence, WI; Special friends: Smokey, Paulie, Eddie, and other special friends at Cinderella; and many nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.
In addition to his parents and his wife, he is preceded in death by his In-Laws: Rosella (Edward) Schneider, John Osowsky, and Rita VanderWyst.
Funeral Services for Mr. Sachs will take place at 11 a.m. on Saturday, September 11, 2004, at Sacred Heart Parish in Appleton, with Father Norman Krutzik officiating. Visitation will be held Friday, September 10, 2004, at Valley Funeral Home from 5 until 8 p.m. with a vigil service at 8p.m. There will also be a one-hour visitation directly preceding the service at the church in the Sacred Heart Room.
