    Smits, Aloysius, J. "Bunny"
    Aloysius J. "Bunny" Smits, De Pere, passed away on Friday, April 2, 2004, at the age 88. He was born Oct. 24, 1915, in De Pere, to the late Frank and Lena (Roffers) Smits. On Aug. 19, 1939, Abbot Pennings united him in marriage to Viola Thomson at St. Joseph Catholic Church De Pere. Al was a World War II Veteran having served in the Marine Corps. He hauled milk for many years retiring in 1973. Al was a member of Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church.
    Survivors include his wife of 64 years, Viola; his children, Janice (Allen) Lasee, Sharon (Dan) Greene, Mary (Jack) Janssen, Lori (Dean) Philipsen, Jim (Rose), Rick (Sue), Paul (Julie), Joe, Tom (Cherry), Mike (Cindy), Roche (Betty); 57 grandchildren; and numerous great-grandchildren further survive him. He is also survived by two daughter-in-laws Fran Otto and Naydene Potter. Many sisters- and brothers-in-law also survive Al.
    He was preceded in death by two sons, Allen and Dan; and two grandchildren, Benjy and Luke; and 11 siblings.
    Friends may call from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Monday, April 5, 2004 at the RYAN FUNERAL HOME, De Pere. A Parish Prayer Service will be held at 4:30 p.m. Visitation will continue after 9 a.m. Tuesday, April 6, 2004, at Our Lady Of Lourdes Catholic Church De Pere, until the Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 a.m. with Fr. Conrad Kratz O.Praem officiating, burial at Mt. Calvary cemetery. Online condolences may be expressed to the Smits family at www.ryanfh.com

    Mary J. (Brown) Deprey, 72, a lifelong Green Bay resident, died Wednesday, April 9, 2014, after a lengthy illness. She was born May 12, 1941, to Merton and Lorraine (Smits) Brown. On September 5, 1970, she married Kenneth Deprey. Before retiring, Mary had been employed by Thew Supply for over 30 years.
    She is survived by her husband, Ken; a sister, Sylvia Brown; a sister-in-law, Marlene Brown; nephews and nieces who have been so good to her, Gene, Kim, Rick, Jim, Dan, Ann, and Tom; good friends, Bob and Cindy Klaus.
    She was preceded in death by her parents; a sister, Patricia Nader; and a brother, Richard Brown.
    Visitation will be from 3 to 6 p.m. Sunday at Proko-Wall Funeral Home, 1630 E. Mason St. There will be a parish wake service at 6 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. There will be no visitation on Monday. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Monday at St. Philip the Apostle Catholic Church, 312 Victoria St., with Rev.     Dianne Lynn Meeuwsen Brooker, Mulliken, Mich., died Feb. 12, 2014, after a short battle with cancer. She was born Dec. 1, 1948, to the late Norbert and Verona (Smits) Meeuwsen, De Pere, Wis. Dianne graduated from St. Joseph Academy and Saint Norbert College with a B.A. in English. On Aug. 20, 1971, Dianne married Thomas G. Brooker.
    They spent 42 years together until Tom died on Nov. 14, 2013.
    While raising their family in Menasha, Dianne frequently participated in volunteer activities to support local schools and was an active sponsor of various youth organizations and Girl Scouts. She was a longtime member of Saint Margaret Mary Catholic Church of Neenah, Wis.
    Dianne worked for many years in the publishing industry, including Pisani Graphics and Banta Corporation, both located in Menasha. She was passionate about reading, education, and family. Dianne also enjoyed fishing with her husband, watching the Green Bay Packers play and playing cards with her brothers.
    Dianne is survived by three children, her son, Daniel Brooker, San Antonio, Texas, her daughter-in-law, Connie Brooker, Plantersville, Texas; and their children, Madison, Joseph, Lauren and Nicholas Brooker; and her daughters Clare Corcoran and Jane Brooker, Mulliken, Mich. She is also survived by her brothers, Paul (Alice) Meeuwsen, De Pere; and John Meeuwsen, Appleton; her sister, Karen (Ron) Halper, Winnetka, Ill.; her sisters-in-law, Linda Meeuwsen, Green Bay; and Carol Meeuwsen-Jones, Oshkosh; and many cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.
    In addition to her parents and her husband, Tom, Dianne was preceded in death by her sister, Margaret, her brothers, Nicholas and Gary, and her son-in-law, Timothy Corcoran.
    A memorial service for Dianne and Thomas Brooker will be held in De Pere this summer. Burial will take place in Mount Olivet Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Sparrow Hospice Foundation, PO Box 30480, Lansing, MI 48909.
