    Martin F. VanDaalwyk, age 97 of 444 Saratoga St., Chilton, died on Tuesday, March 15, 2005 at the Calumet Medical Center in Chilton. He was born on May 11, 1907 in Kimberly, son of the late Chris and Harriet DeLueew. He married Mary Kroiss on June 5, 1928. She preceded him in death on March 4, 1988. He later married Marie Gieser on April 3, 1989. He was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church in Chilton. Martin retired from farming in 1950 and has since enjoyed hunting, fishing, playing sheepshead, and spending time with his family.
    He is survived by his wife Marie of Chilton; two sons: James (Ceil) VanDaalwyk of Chilton; Eugene (Mary Jane) VanDaalwyk of Chilton; two daughters: Mary Jane (Bob) Phillips of CA; Shirley (Max) VanGrinsven of Appleton; 18 grandchildren, 36 great grandchildren, three great great grandchildren, a brother, Barney VanDaalwyk of Kimberly; a sister, Gertrude Martin, a brother and sister-in-law: Max and Edna Kroiss, and a sister-in-law Midge VanDaalwyk.
    He was preceded in death by a daughter, Elaine, two grandchildren: Shelly and Charlie, a great grandson, Ryan Andrew, three brothers: Chris, Joe, and Jake; four sisters: Mini, Ann, Marie, and Harriet; four brothers-in-law, and two sisters-in-law.
    Funeral Services will be at 12 Noon on Saturday, March 19, 2005 at St. Mary Catholic Church in Chilton with the Rev. Al Gieser officiating. Burial will take place in the St. Mary Cemetery in Stockbridge. Friends may call at Wieting Family Funeral Home, 411 W. Main St. Chilton, on Saturday from 9:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. when family prayers will be held.
    Special thank you to the Calumet County Home Health Care staff, the Calumet Medical Center staff, especially Drs. Thieler and Pleviak for their wonderful care and concern they gave to Martin.

    Eugene F. "Butch" VanDaalwyk, age 84 of Hilbert died on November 2, 2016 at the Atrium Post Acute Care in Chilton. He was born August 16, 1932 in Kimberly, son of the late Martin & Mary (Kroiss) VanDaalwyk. He married Mary Jane Wieseckel on May 29, 1954 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Sherwood. The couple farmed together until retirement in 1988 when their son Bob, took over the family farm. He enjoyed working on the family farm, driving tractor, working the land and being greeted by Muffin, his beloved cookie dog.
    He was a member of St. John Sacred Heart Catholic Church in St John. He was active in the Farm Bureau, Catholic Knights, Knights of Columbus, Catholic Foresters, Men's Club and participated in church ushering and sang in the adult choir.
    Butch was a wonderful husband and father. He was known for his knack of listening and wisdom of when to talk. He was a support for many and took great pleasure in spending time with grandchildren, fishing, woodworking and playing Sheepshead with neighbors and friends.
    Survivors include his wife, Mary Jane, his children: Cindy (Chuck) Ott, Jean (Jim) Schaefer, Debbie (Tom) Porter, Lynn (Mike) Fox and Bob (special friend Brenda Schmitt); 11 grandchildren: Doug (Becky) Ott, Melanie Schaefer, Mark (Jennifer) Schaefer, Mitchell (Amanda) Schaefer, Lance (Carmen) Busse, Grant Busse, Neil Busse, Austin Gates, Brett VanDaalwyk, Anna VanDaalwyk and Blake VanDaalwyk. 6 great grandchildren: Jenna Ott, Allison Schaefer, Clay Schaefer, Levi Schaefer, Weston Busse and Carson Busse: 5 step grandchildren, 1 sister: Shirley (Max) VanGrinsven, sister-in-law: Cecilia VanDaalwyk, and a brother-in-law Larry (Mardella) Wieseckel.
    He was preceded in death by his parents; his in-laws: Clem & Dorothy Wieseckel; sisters: Mary Jane (Bob) Phillips, Elaine Popp; brother: James VanDaalwyk; brothers-in-law: Eugene (Agnes) Wieseckel, Clarence (Winnifred) Wieseckel; daughter-in-law: Paula VanDaalwyk and an infant grandson: Ryan Ott.
    The family would like to thank their many relatives and friends for the prayers and support offered to Butch and Mary Jane. Special thanks to the entire staff of the Atrium Post Acute Care, of Chilton, Calumet County Hospice, and Calumet Medical Center for the loving care they provided to our entire family and to Butch. You treated him as though he was your very own. Your kindness will never be forgotten.
    Funeral service for Butch will be held at 11:30am on Saturday, November 5, 2016 at St John Sacred Heart Church in St John, WI with Rev. Michael Betley officiating. Burial will follow in the Parish Cemetery. Family and friends are invited to gather at the church on Saturday morning from 9:00 am until 11:00am.
    A memorial fund has been established in the name of Eugene F. "Butch" VanDaalwyk

    Obituary:
    Nicholas VanGrinsven, Hortonville, passed away unexpectedly following a long illness. He was born on August 4, 1986 to Gerald and Sherry (Brereton) Van Grinsven in Appleton. Nick graduated from Hortonville High School in 2005. His passion was the outdoors. He loved to fish and hunt with his Dad, family time spent at the cabin west of Minocqua. He also enjoyed time spent with his daughter, Karlee. Nick had a generous spirit and always was willing to help family and friends. He had a natural gift for welding and recently started working for Pierce as a welder.
    He will be greatly missed by his parents; a daughter, Karlee; a sister, Krystal; the love of his life, Bridgette Picard and her daughter, Lily; Paternal grandparents: Max (Shirley) Van Grinsven and Maternal Grandparents: Donald (Daisy) Brereton; Aunts and Uncles: Bill (Jeanne) Brereton, Gale (Mike) Timmers, Pat (Anne) Van Grinsven and Al Van Grinsven; cousins: Melissa, Amanda, Matt, Steve and Jacob. He is further survived by other relatives and good friends.
    Funeral Services for Nick will be held at 6:00 PM, Wednesday, July 25, 2012 at New Hope Lutheran Church (1850 American Dr.) Neenah, WI with Rev. Jeff Pruitt officiating. Visitation will begin at 3:00 PM on Wednesday at the church. In lieu of flowers memorials may be directed to Karlee for her education.
    The family would like to thank all of the family and friends in the community for their support and love shown to them, especially Krystal.
