Obituary:
Ronald Thomas McCann, "McCann-nic," 74, Appleton, surrounded by his family, entered into eternal life on Monday, September 22, 2008, after a courageous battle with cancer, He was born July 1, 1934, in the town of Freedom, to the late Thomas McCann and Evelyn McCann-Hoffmann. He married the love of his life Joyce DeWildt, on November 30, 1957, and together they shared 50 years. After high school, Ron served his country by joining the United States Navy. He retired from his work as a mechanic of McCann's Mechanical Services of which he owned and operated.
Ron loved to take leisurely rides on his Gold Wing and snowmobile the north woods, but most of all he loved to take out his boat and enjoy the beautiful lakes and rivers with his family and friends.
Survivors include his wife Joyce, three sons: Mike (Joan) and their children, Paul (Alicia), Kimberly (Jesse), Kayla (Mike); Pete (Teri) and their children; Joshua, Jarib, Jakob, Jaania; Rick McCann and his children: Adam and Hayley. He is further survived by his sisters: Jean Pierri, Evie Kohl and Molly Chapleau, brother Bob (Amy) McCann, sisters-in-law: Dorothy (Rich) Evers and Ione Schommer, numerous nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends.
His parents, mother and father in law, sister and brothers in law preceded him in death.
A Mass of Celebration for Ron will be held at 11:30 a.m. Thursday, September 25, 2008, at St. Pius X Catholic Church with Rev. Tom Farrell officiating. Entombment will be at 2 p.m. in Highland Memorial Park, with military honors. Friends may visit the family Thursday at the church from 9:30 - 11:30 a.m. In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund is being established.

Jeanette Ann (McCann) Pierri, of Appleton, passed away on Sunday, October 18, 2009. Jean was born on December 10, 1935, to Thomas and Evelyn (Hoffmann) McCann. She left us as she lived- a gentle, kind, giving soul. Her sense of humor and soft voice hid the feisty, strong strength that lived in her.
Oh! How we will miss her. Mother of James, Julie, Jeannie and Frank. Grandmother of Malcolm, Riley, Logan, Carlye, Rachael, Araceli and Dominic. Mother-in-law to Laura, Scott and Steve. Sister to Ron, Evie, Molly and Bob. W.R. Wilson "Willy" you will forever hold Jean's heart, along with your daughters and their families.
There will be no funeral service, per Jean's and the family's wishes. If you want to join us in the celebration of her life, Jean was passionate about leaving the world a better place. Recycle. Tutor a child. Volunteer to help the elderly. Jean will look down upon you and smile.
