    Rosaline "Rose" Ludvigsen, of Kaukauna, age 86, died Friday December 8, 2006, at Franciscan Care Center in Appleton. She was born February 22, 1920, to the late Arthur and Margaret (Plagamann) Kappell in Kaukauna. In 1938, she married John C. Ludvigsen, he preceded her in death in 1991.
    She is survived by her daughter, Joan (Richard) Weigman of Katy, Texas; a son-in-law, Robert (fiancee Gloria Bork) Lust; sister-in-law, Audry Kappell; a brother-in-law, Gerald Befay; 10 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren, three great-great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
    She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband; a daughter, Margaret Lust; a son, Douglas; a brother, Donald Kappell; sister and brother-in-law, Arlene and Arthur Grundy; sister, Dolores Befay; brother and sister-in-law, Robert and Rosemary Kappell; and a nephew, Rick Kappell.
    Rose wanted to give special thanks to all her friends and neighbors for their friendship and kindness they provided her over the years.
    The funeral service for Rose will be 7:30 p.m. Thursday, December 14, 2006, at BOETTCHER FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 2401 Fieldcrest Drive, Kaukauna, with Rev. Walter Steinbach officiating. Friends will be received on Thursday, at the Funeral Home, from 5 p.m. until the time of service. Burial will take place on Friday, at Union Cemetery, Kaukauna. In lieu of flowers, a memorial is being established. The Boettcher Family Funeral Home is assisting the family. 920-766-2099.
    The family would like to thank Dr. William B. Gustafson and the staff at Franciscan Care Center in Unit 3 for all the care and compassion they gave Rose over the years.

    Joan Ellen Weigman, age 69, of Kaukauna, Wisconsin, passed away on Saturday, April 11, 2015, at The Orchard in Katy, Texas, with her family at her side. Joan was born August 7, 1945, the daughter of John and Rose (Kappell) Ludvigsen. Joan married Richard (Dick) Weigman on August 7, 1965, at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Kaukauna, WI. Joan, Dick and the family moved to Texas in 1977.
    Joan was preceded in death by her parents; her sister, Margaret (Ludvigsen) Lust; brother, Doug; and one niece, Michelle (Lust) Smith (Darrell).
    Joan is survived by her husband, Dick; daughter, Kari (Mike) Snyder; son, Chad (Jacqui) Weigman; four grandchildren, Grayson and Cade Snyder, Connor and Kylie Weigman; sister-in-law; Judy Weigman; brothers-in-law; Robert (Bob) Lust, Jim Weigman; nephews, Eric and Austin Weigman and four nieces, Lori (Lust) Gialessas (Spyro), Stacey (Lust) Brothers, (Chad), Trudy (Lust) Vollmer (Randy) and Marni (Lust) Sanderfoot (Brian).
    A celebration of Joan's life will be held on Thursday, July 7, at 9:30 a.m. at the Union Cemetery in Kaukauna, WI. Retired Pastor Walt Steinbach will officiate.

    Kappell, Richard "Rich"Richard "Rich" Kappell, "You Son of a Gun", 55, Agape House 9, Appleton, d ied peacefully Monday March 1, 2004. Rich was born March 29, 1948 to the l ate Robert and Rosemary (Jansen) Kappell in Appleton. He briefly work ed at Valley Packaging. Rich enjoyed visiting with family and friends, pla ying cards and going up north. He loved children and could always make th em smile. Rich liked to listen to country music, wrestling and attending T imber Rattler games. He was a longtime member of St. Mary Church.He is survived by his sister, Roseann (Russell) Litscher, Combined Locks a nd their children: Chad and Kaylie; his brother, Raymond (Tracy) Kappel l, Central Point, OR and their children: Lindsay and Nick. He will al so be missed by two aunts: Rosie Ludvigsen and Joan Jansen; an uncle, Dona ld (Audrey) Kappell and numerous cousins. His parents preceded him in death.Funeral services will be held at 12 Noon Saturday March 6, 2004 at ST. MA RY of the ANNUNCIATION CATHOLIC CHURCH, 119 West Seventh Street, Kaukau na with Fr. Robert A. Udulutsch OFM Cap. officiating. Burial will be in Un ion Cemetery, Kaukauna. Friends may call at the Boettcher Family Funeral H ome, 2401 Fieldcrest Drive, Kaukauna from 8:30 a.m. on Saturday until t he procession leaves for the church.
