    Helen M. Lowe (nee Brill) Born To Eternal Life on Monday, April 4, 2011. Age 93 years. Beloved wife of the late Stanley P. Lowe. Loving mother of Deacon Stanley J. (Sandra) Lowe. Dear step-mother of the late Robert (Adeline) Lowe, Catherine (the late James) Karolzak, Mary (Gerald) Fetherston, and the late Peter Lowe. Treasured grandmother of Emily and Stanley P. Lowe. Cherished sister of Sr. M. Cecily Brill, SSND, Sr. M. Angeleen Brill, SSND and Joan Bryant. Helen is preceded in death by her parents Gerhard and Angeline Brill, and brothers Sylvester, Francis and Robert Brill. Further survived by many step-grandchildren, step-great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other family members and friends.
    Visitation FRIDAY 9- 11 AM at ST. CHARLES BORROMEO CHURCH, 3100 W. Parnell Ave. Mass of Christian Burial at 11 AM. Private interment Holy Cross Cemetery.
    Helen was a retiree of Marquette University after 36 years of service and was a member of the Marquette University Quarter Century Club. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be to either Marquette University or St. Charles Borromeo Church. PRASSER-KLECZKA SOUTH SUBURBAN CHAPEL

    Sister Mary Cecily "Dorothy" Brill, SSND
    First Profession August 11, 1946 - Motherhouse, Milwaukee, WI School Sister of Notre Dame Cecily Brill died May 21, 2012, at Notre Dame Dame of Elm Grove. She was 86. Sister Cecily was born on April 1, 1926 in Appleton, Wis., to Gerhard and Angelina (Brauer) Brill. She was baptized Dorothy Elizabeth and grew up with three older brothers, an older sister and two younger sisters. When she was two years old, the family moved back to Milwaukee. Sister Cecily attended St. Leo School in Milwaukee where the School Sisters of Notre Dame taught. It was at St. Leo that she began studying music. Freshman year, she attended Mercy High School. The next two years were spent at Messmer High School. In 1943, she entered the SSND candidature and completed her last year of high school at the Milwaukee motherhouse. She professed first vows on August 11, 1946. Sister Cecily earned a bachelor's in music from Mount Mary College, Milwaukee in 1953. Her bachelor's in educational music in 1964 and a master's in music education in 1971 were both from De Paul University, Chicago. Sister Cecily served schools and parishes as a music teacher, musician and organist for 50 years. Her ministry locations included SS Peter and Paul, Milwaukee, 1944-45; Holy Cross, Milwaukee,1946-52; St. Augustine, Milwaukee, 1952-54; St. Beaver Dam, Wis., 1954-61; St. Joseph, Escanaba, Mich., 1961-64; St. John de Nepomuc, Milwaukee, 1964-71; Immaculate Heart of Mary, West Allis, Wis., 1971-72; St. Aloysius, West Allis, Wis., 1972-75; St. Joseph, Wauwatosa, Wis., 1975-76; Visitation Convent, Elm Grove, Wis., 1976-78; and Christ King, Wauwatosa, Wis., 1978-94. In 1994, Sister Cecily retired to Notre Dame of Elm Grove, where she continued to minister through her prayer, presence and service. Sister Cecily is survived by her sisters, Sister Angeleen Brill, SSND and Joan Bryant, nieces, nephews, other relatives, friends and the SSND Community. Memorial contributions may be made to the School Sisters of Notre Dame Retirement Fund, c/o SSND Mission Advancement Office, 13105 Watertown Plank Road, Elm Grove, WI 53122-2291.
