    Obituary:
Teresa C. Brittnacher, 87, Greenleaf, passed away peacefully Monday, November 21, 2011, with her family by her side. She was born January 16, 1924 in Kimberly, daughter of the late John and Marie (Vanderlogt) Vermeern. As a young girl, Teresa was an excellent gymnast and won many competitions. She was fondly called "the girl with no backbone." During her early adult years, she worked for St. Elizabeth Hospital and also at Kimberly Clark Corp.
On November 8, 1947, Teresa married Clifford A. Brittnacher at Holy Name Church in Kimberly. She helped with the operation of their dairy farm in Greenleaf from 1952 until the mid 1980s. Cliff passed away October 31, 1999.
Teresa was a member of St. Clare Parish - St. Paul Catholic Church, Wrightstown. She enjoyed baking and sewing. Everyone's favorite was homemade bread and vegetable soup. No one has the recipes because everything was done by a pinch of this or handful of that, not by cups or teaspoons. She also made several quilts, all sewn by hand. Teresa enjoyed a good game of cards, spending time with family, and playing Aggravation with grandson, Teddy.
Teresa is survived by four sons: Stephen (Diane), Dave (Gloria), Russ (Donna), all of Greenleaf; and Bill (Kris), Oshkosh; a daughter, Jane (Joe) Feldkamp, Kaukauna; daughter-in-law, Joy; 28 grandchildren; 30 great-grandchildren; a brother, Henry Vermeern; two sisters: Gertrude (Egbert) Tingley and Maggie Zornow; sisters-in-law: Margaret Vermeern, Annabelle Weber, Margaret Morris, Evelyn Baus, and Helen Brittnacher; brothers-in-law: Donald Popp, Tom Klugriewicz, and Jim (Stella) Brittnacher; and family friend, Ted (Jan) Breese.
She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Cliff; a son, Thomas; 3 sisters: Lecie Bruehl, Pinky Popp, and Tootsie Polzin; 1 brother, Jack Vermeern; 2 sisters-in-law; and 9 brothers-in-law.
Relatives and friends may call at St. Clare Parish - St. Paul site, 437 Main St., Wrightstown, on Saturday, November 26, 2011 from 9:00 until 11:00 am. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at the church on Saturday 11:00 am with Rev. Dennis Bergsbaken officiating. Burial will be in St. Paul Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund is being established.
Teresa's family would like to thank AseraCare Hospice for their care given to, and time spent with Mom, Grandma, Great-grandma, and friend. It was greatly appreciated.
