    Margaret Mae Joas, age 73, of Neenah, died peacefully Tuesday, April 26, 2005, after a year and a half battle with cancer. She was born May 5, 1931, in Neenah, daughter of Clarence and Magdalena (Endres) Fellner. Margaret married Douglas Joas, February 27, 1954, at St. Patrick Catholic Church, Menasha. She was employed by the Neenah School System for 26 years prior to her retirement in 1986. She was a member of St. Margaret Mary Catholic Church, Neenah.
    Margaret is survived by her husband, Doug, her children: Vicki (Scott) Thoma, Neenah; Douglas (Alice) Joas, Larsen; and David (Becky) Joas, Menasha; 12 grandchildren: Dennis Mueller, Kelly, Sean and Jamae Pennings, Ben, Katie, Ryan, Kari and Rachel Joas, Jimmy Joas (Yolanda Cain), May Pittz, Toni-Marie (Steven) Turner, 11 great- grandchildren: Anna Joy Mueller, Monica and Tommy Boelter, Aleesha Pittz, Edward, Trevor and Mariah Joas, Izabella, Trinity and Gabriella Turner and Rionnan Joas, her sister, Carol Jean (Everett) Gilbert and her brother, William (JoAnn) Fellner.
    She was preceded in death by her parents.
    Memorial services will be held at 6 p.m. Friday, April 29, 2005, at the Kessler Funeral Home with Deacon Norman Spielbauer officiating. Friends may call at the funeral home from 4 p.m. Friday until the time of the service.A memorial has been established for the Christine Ann Center.

    Victoria J. Thoma, 59, of Neenah, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, July 23, 2014. She was born on October 2, 1954, in Neenah, the daughter of Douglas and Margaret (Fellner) Joas. She was an extremely generous person who donated much of her time to the welfare of her friends, family and community. She was also active in many local theatre groups, where her amazing singing voice was renowned throughout the Fox Valley. Over the years she helped recruit many aspiring actors and actresses, to include her oldest granddaughter, Anna Mueller. As a Kimberley Clark retiree, she also took a tremendous amount of pride in her work as a realtor for Homestead Realty. Among the organizations previously mentioned, she will be missed and remembered by her family, whom she has helped and guided as a mother always should. She was a member of Our Savior's Lutheran Church, Neenah.
    Vicki is survived by her husband: Scott; father: Doug; Children: May Pittz, Dennis (fiancé Kasandra Schurer) Mueller, Kelly Pennings, Sean (wife Randi) Pennings, Jamae Pennings, Jennifer (Jerold) Meidam, and Michael (Jessica Calkins) Thoma; six grandchildren: Anna, Jacob, Kyle, Dalton, Rylan, Dilan, and one baby girl on the way; a brother: David (Becky) Joas; a sister-in-law: Alice Joas; aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, other relatives, friends, and all those who attended girls night for Karaoke!
    Vicki was preceded in death by her mother, and a brother: Douglas Joas.
    Memorial services will be held at 1:00 p.m., Saturday, August 2, 2014, at the Kessler Funeral Home, 304 S. Commercial St., Neenah, with Rev. Catherine A.K. Mode officiating. Visitation will be Saturday at the funeral home from 11:00 a.m. until the time of the service. In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established in Victoria's name.

    Douglas Michael Joas, 52, Winchester, died late Thursday night, July 17, 2008, at Mercy Medical Center in Oshkosh, surrounded by his family after a courageous battle with brain cancer. He was born Sept. 22, 1955, in Neenah, to Douglas E. and Margaret (Fellner) Joas. Doug was a 1973 graduate of Neenah High School where he participated in wrestling. On Aug. 21, 1976, he married Alice Eckstein at Grace Lutheran Church in Winchester. They were blessed with five children. Doug worked for almost 30 years at Gilbert Paper Co. in Menasha, until the plant closed. Most recently he had worked for the Town of Clayton. Doug was a dedicated member of the Clayton-Winchester Fire Department since 1981, currently serving as a Fire Inspector. He has been a Supervisor for the Town of Winchester since 2005. Doug was a member of Grace Lutheran Church in Winchester, and was a past Sunday school teacher, member of the church council and served on the Buildings and Grounds Committee, but his true joy with church work was his involvement with Ruth's Pantry. He was committed to his family, friends, church and community, always willing to lend a helping hand. Doug enjoyed his regular stops to Kwik Trip for coffee and visiting. "You know what I mean."
    Doug is survived by his wife of 31 years, Alice; and their children, Benjamin, Katie, Ryan, Kari and Rachel Joas. He is also survived by his father, Douglas E. Joas; one brother, David (Becky) Joas; one sister, Vicki (Scott) Thoma; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Abe and Theda Eckstein; very special sister-in-law, Fay Eckstein; brothers-in-law, Ted Eckstein, Tom (Sandy) Eckstein, Clint (Robin) Eckstein, Dan (Jena) Eckstein; and many nieces and nephews.
    Doug's mother, Margaret, preceded him in death.
    A Funeral Service for Doug will be held on Tuesday, July 22, 2008, at 11 a.m. at Grace Lutheran Church of Winchester in Larsen, Wis., with Pastor Chuck Fluegel officiating. Burial will be in Grace Lutheran Cemetery, Winchester. A visitation will be held on Monday, July 21, 2008, from 5 to 8 p.m. at the church and will continue on Tuesday from 9:30 a.m. until the time of the service at 11 a.m.
    In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established in Doug's name.

    David L. Joas, 58, Larsen, died Monday, May 9, 2016 at his home. He was born on February 26, 1958, to the late Douglas and Margaret (Fellner) Joas in Neenah. David was united in marriage to Carlene VanBramer in Brainard, NY. He enjoyed fishing, turkey and deer hunting as well as snowmobiling. David was an avid Packer fan. He loved spending time with his family, watching television with his beloved Carlene and was known for his sarcastic humor. He was a Staff Sergeant in the US Army for 13 years, a sharp shooter as well as a computer expert. David taught computer programming classes at a community college for 5 years.
    David is survived by his wife Carlene of 33 years, children Toni (Ubaldo Quilantan) Turner, Jimmylee (Kim Price) Joas and Steven Turner, 10 grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren, 2 godsons Sean Pennings and Dennis Mueller.
    He was preceded in death by his siblings Douglas Joas and Victoria Thoma.
    In accordance with David's wishes no funeral services will be held.
    The family would like to thank the Winnebago County Sheriff's team, the first responders as well as Cheryl Brehmer, Deputy Coroner for all their help.
