    Biography:
    LOUIS ULLMER, who owns and operates a tract of 120 acres in section 2 and another property of sixty acres in section 3, Seymour township, is one of the leading agriculturists of this section. His birth occurred December 28, 1876, in Brown county, Wisconsin, and he is a son of Joseph and Mary (Reinhardt) Ullmer. When Joseph Ullmer was three years old his father died, and when he was but fifteen years old he left his native country, Germany, coming to the United States, where he spent the remainder of his life at the blacksmith trade and in farming in Brown county, Wisconsin, his death occurring in 1910, when he was fifty-seven years of age. His widow survives him, being fifty-five years old, and has been the mother of these children: Louis, Henry, Joseph, William, August, Charles, Leo, Mathias, Lawrence, Emily, Louisa, Mary, Clara and Cecil, of whom August is deceased. Louis Ullmer was educated in the district schools of Brown county, and as a youth learned the blacksmith trade with his father, an occupation which he followed for five or six years, and when twenty-six years of age he began farming in Brown county. In 1907 he came to Seymour township, where he has since made his home, being engaged in general and dairy farming, and having a large nine-room house, and two dairy barns, 40x70 and 40x60 feet respectively. Mr. Ullmer has devoted much attention to the raising of fine dairy cattle and Percheron horses, and he is also an extensive breeder of hogs. His farming interests .have demanded all of his time and attention and he has never aspired to public office. In 1902, Mr. Ullmer was married to Anna Boehm, who was born in Bohmem, Germany, August 16, 1881, daughter of Frank and Anna (Meyers) Boehm, who still reside in Germany. Mr. and Mrs. Boehm had these children: Anton, who died in America; Katie; Anna, Mrs. Ullmer, who came to the United States when she was sixteen years old; Frank, in Germany; Theresa, living in this country; Louisa, in Germany; and Frances, Katie and Wolf, who came to America in 1910. Mr. and Mrs. Ullmer have had five children, namely: Marcella Florence, born March 3, 1903; Raphael, born June 9, 1904; Matilda, who died November 4, 1906, aged seventeen months; Bernard, who was born February 8, 1908; and Gertrude, born February 3, 1910.

    Biography:
    JOSEPH STEVEN ULLMER, clerk of Seymour township, secretary of the Ullmer Cheese Factory, and one of the energetic and progressive young dairy farmers of Outagamie county, Wisconsin, was born in Howard township, Brown county, Wisconsin, October 8, 1885, a son of Joseph and Mary (Reinhardt) Ullmer. Joseph Ullmer was born in Baden, Germany, where his father had died when he was three years old, and at the age of fifteen years he came to the United States alone, following the blacksmith trade, which he had learned in his native country, for the seven years following his arrival in this country. After his marriage, he located on a farm on Duck Creek, in Brown county, but after twelve years returned to the blacksmith trade, eventually taking up farming again after a short period and continuing agricultural operations on Duck Creek until his death in 1910, at the age of fifty-seven years. Mrs. Ullmer, who still survives, is fifty-five years old. Their children were: Louis, Henry, Joseph, William, August, Charles, Leo, Mathias, Lawrence, Emily, Louisa, Mary, Clara and Cecil all being now alive except August.
    Joseph Steven Ullmer was educated in the district schools of Brown county and the Green Bay Business College and later took a course in dairying at the Madison Agricultural. College. He then began work as a butter and cheese maker, which he followed at various places for about eight years, and in 1911 located on his dairy farm on section 2, a tract of eighty acres with fine pastures and cleanly, well-kept dairy barns. The cheese factory has a capacity of 10,000 pounds, and the business is growing steadily. Mr. Ullmer is treasurer of the Catholic Church at Isaar, and in 1910 he was elected to the office of clerk of Seymour township, a position which he still holds. Mr. Ullmer was married in 1896 to Frances Kroner, a daughter of John and Teckle (Drisile) Kroner, natives of Germany, and to this union there has been born one son: Norbert.

    Sister Carlotta Ullmer, OSF, age 95, a member of the Sisters of St. Francis of the Holy Cross, Green Bay, died on December 26, 2014 at a local hospital.
    The former Elmyra Theresa Ullmer was born October 9, 1919 in Green Bay, WI, daughter of the late Charles and Katherine (Nachtwey) Ullmer. She entered the convent in 1937, professed her vows in 1940, and celebrated her Diamond Jubilee in 1998.
    Sister Carlotta earned a Bachelors Degree in Elementary Education at St. Norbert College, De Pere, a Masters of Education in Guidance & Counseling, Marquette University, Milwaukee, WI, and certification to tutor in Laubach Literacy Action from Literacy Green Bay. She served as a teacher and/or principal at St. Joseph, Madison, St. Mary, Bear Creek, SS. Peter and Paul, Institute, St. Joan of Arc, Goodman, St. Boniface, De Pere, All Saints, Denmark, Holy Angels, Darboy, St. Matthew, St. Jude, and St. John the Baptist, Green Bay. She served as a tutor with Literacy Green Bay for over 25 years. In Community she served as Peace and Justice Coordinator, was a member of the Motherhouse Team and a volunteer in Community service at the convent.
    Survivors include the Sisters of St. Francis of the Holy Cross and Associate members; a brother: Eldon (Maria), Fredericksburg, VA; two sisters: Dolores (Laurie) and (Donald) Rettmann, Green Bay, Charlene (Gary) Maus, New Brighton, MN; a sister-in-law, Edna Ullmer, Green Bay; nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.
    Preceding her in death were her parents: Charles and Katherine; brothers: Ronald and Gerald; sister: Kathleen Lasee; a sister-in-law: Betty.
    Friends may call at St. Francis Convent, 3110 Nicolet Drive, Green Bay on Tuesday, December 30, 2014, at 4:00 p.m. for the reception of the body and visitation. The Vigil Service will be at 7:00 p.m. at the convent. Visitation for Sister Carlotta will continue on Wednesday, December 31, 2014, at Holy Cross Church, 3009 Bay Settlement Road from 9:00 a.m. until the Mass of Christian burial at 10:00 a.m. with the Most Reverend Bishop Robert Morneau presiding. Burial will be in the St. Francis Convent Cemetery.
    The Sisters of St. Francis and the family of Sister Carlotta wish to express their gratitude to the nursing staff at St. Francis Convent and St. Vincent Hospital for their loving care and support
