Obituary:
Dennis David Bedor, 79, of Larsen, passed away Tuesday, June 18, 2013, at Appleton Healthcare Center.
Dennis was born August 12, 1933, in Shiocton, the son of the late Ralph and Ruth (Durent) Bedor. He was united in marriage to Angeline "Angie" Close on July 2, 1955, in Shiocton. Prior to his retirement, Dennis was a semi-truck driver for 20 years with Marquardt Millwork of Oshkosh and later was employed with Hillshire Farms, New London. He was a member of the Larsen/Winchester Lions Club, and volunteered with the club's construction of over 400 handicap ramps for area residents' homes. Dennis and Angie enjoyed taking road trips to the casinos together and he was a big Packer fan!
Survivors include his wife Angie; daughter, Heather (Curt) Eastman, Larsen; three sons: Douglas Bedor, Menasha, Kevin (Nicole) Bedor, Marion, and Christopher Bedor, Larsen; two grandchildren, Jasmine and Jacob; a brother, James K. Bedor, King; a brother-in-law, Leonard (Joyce) Close, Pembine; two sisters-in-law, Carole (Richard) Funnell, Neenah, and Darla Close, Waukesha; and nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his brothers, Robert, Jerry and Sonny; and his sisters, Eunice Davidson, Alta Knipple and Anita Spaulding.
The funeral service for Dennis will be Friday, June 21, 2013, 11:00 a.m., at Gloria Dei Lutheran Church-ELCA, 1140 Tullar Rd., Neenah, with Rev. Jon Gallatin officiating. Visitation will begin Friday at the church at 9:00 a.m. until the hour of the service. In lieu of flowers, memorials in Dennis's honor may be sent to the Greater Wisconsin Alzheimer's Association , Memory Walk, 2900 Curry Lane, Green Bay, WI, 54311.
The family would like to extend a special thanks to all the staff at Appleton Healthcare Center for their care and support given to Dennis while he lived there.
