    Mrs. J. D. Nate, 87, pioneer resident of Franklin, died Monday at the Holy Family hospital where she had been a patient the past year. Funeral services will be held at 9:15 a.m. Thursday at the Watt funeral home, Maple Grove, and at 9:30 at St. Michael Catholic church, Maple Grove, the Rev. Frank Schoettl officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
    She was born Catherine Duggan in Milwaukee in 1862 and in 1870 her parents located in Franklin. Sixty five years ago she was married to Mr. Nate and they operated a farm and cheese factory in Franklin. Mr. Nate died 33 years ago. She was a member of the Altar society of the St. Patrick's congregation.
    Survivors are a daughter, Mrs. John McCarthy of route 1, Reedsville; three sons, George, Charles and Archie of Franklin; three brothers, Timothy of Cedar River,Mich., Dan of route 2, Cato, and Michael of Reedsville; 24 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren. Friends may call at the Watt funeral home where the rosary will be recited at 8:15 tonight and Wednesday evening.

    George B. Nate, 62, Franklin farmer and lifelong county resident, died suddenly of a heart attack Wednesday evening at the farm home. Funeral services will be held at 9:45 a.m. Saturday at the Watt Funeral Home, Maple Grove, and at 10 o'clock at the St. Patrick Catholic Church, Maple Grove. The Rev. Frank Schoettl will officiate and burial will be in the church cemetery. Mr. Nate was born in Franklin in 1890 and in 1916 married Miss Mame Savage. They located on the homestead farm. He was a member of the Holy Name Society.
    Survivors are his wife; four sons, Bernard of Manitowoc, Norbert of Whitelaw, Howard of Grimms and Wilbert of Franklin; two daughters, Mrs. Wallace Hallfrisch of Manitowoc and Mary of Franklin; two brothers, Charles and Archie of Franklin; sister, Mrs. John McCarthy of Clarks

    Thomas "Tom" Nate, entered eternal peace Tuesday morning, after a courageous, nine year battle with cancer. Tom was born on April 7, 1933, to Archie and Irene (Welch) Nate and died Tuesday, July 8, 2008, on the farm where he was born and raised. Tom lived in Maple Grove, WI, his entire life. On April 14, 1953, he married Doris "Dotsie" Dugan at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Clarks Mills. The couple celebrated 55 years of marriage in April 2008.
    Tom prided himself in his faith, his family, and work; and had an endless devotion to God. He was a former member of St. Patrick's Church in Maple Grove, and is a current member of St. Mary's Catholic Church, Clarks Mills. Together with his wife, they raised three wonderful children. Tom was also able to spend many years making memories with his grandchildren and great grandchildren. He was an avid farmer, who even in his final months loved to spend time in the fields. He also worked as a millwright for many years, and retired from Miron Construction of Appleton in 1996.
    Tom was a member of the Elizabeth Seaton Knights of Columbus, Reedsville; Carpenter-Millwright Local 731; Reedsville Sportsman's Club; and the Friends of St. Patrick's. Tom loved to hunt and fish, and was able to go hunting in Wyoming and fishing in Canada with his sons. Tom and Dotsie were also enthusiastic travelers. They used their motor home to travel to many states and saw many attractions. They loved to go to country music festivals, especially the Hodag.
    Tom is survived by his wife, Dotsie; their three children and spouses, Tim (Debbie) Nate, Pat (Lynn) Nate, and Debbie (David) Bauknecht, all of Reedsville; eight grandchildren, Chad (Kelly) Nate, Michael (Heather) Nate, Lea Ann Nate and special friend, Rick Laabs, Jason (Lisa) Nate, Adam Nate, Patrick (Sara) Nate, Kyle Bauknecht and special friend, Kelly Grimm, and Tyler Bauknecht. He was "Papa Tom" to six great-grandchildren, Maiya and Kendyl Nate, Sophia and Joey Barrington - Nate, and Natalie and Dawson Nate. He is further survived by his sister, Bernita Schenian of Whitelaw; a brother, Edgar Nate, Manitowoc; brothers-in-law & sisters-in-law, Bernard Dvorachek of Brillion, Joe (Micki) Dugan, Shawano, Eunice Wusterbarth of Kiel, Joyce Braun of St. Nazianz, and Judy (Ken) Schroeder of Green Bay. Also surviving are his Godchildren, Mark Biely, Joe Wusterbarth, Greg Dvorachek, Laurie Bolle, and Pat Lensmire; nieces, nephews, other family and many friends.
    He was preceded in death by his parents, Archie and Irene Nate; father-in-law & mother-in-law, Joe and Emma Dugan; one sister, Rose Jean Dvorachek; two sisters-in-law, Florette Nate and Elaine Nate; brothers-in-law, Dick Braun and Leon Wusterbarth, three nephews, Brian Dugan, Randy Schneider, and Jeff Guile; one niece, Geralyn Dvorachek; and a great-nephew, Ryan Schenian.
    Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, July 12, 2008, at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Clarks Mills. Rev. David Zimmerman will officiate at the Mass of Christian Burial, with entombment to follow in Knollwood Chapel Mausoleum, Hwy. 310, Manitowoc.
    The family will greet relatives and friends at the St. Patrick's Historical Building in Maple Grove, from 4:00 until 8:00 p.m. on Friday evening, July 11, 2008. The Knights of Columbus will recite the Rosary at 7:00 p.m., followed by a parish prayer service at 7:30 p.m., led by Deacon Tom Koch. Visitation will continue Saturday morning at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Clarks Mills, after 9:00 a.m. until the time of mass at 10:30 a.m.
    Deja & Martin Funeral Chapels, 1506 - 18th St., Two Rivers, is assisting the Nate family with funeral arrangements.
    Tom's family would like to extend a special thank you to Dr. Bayer, St. Vincent Hospital, and Unity Hospice for all of the wonderful care they provided; To Father Dave Zimmerman and Deacon Tom Koch for all of their spiritual guidance, and to all of the family and friends who have supported Tom in his amazing life journey.

    Nate, Timothy P. On Friday, November 9, 2012, Timothy P. Nate was taken unexpectedly to heaven at the age of 58.
    Tim was born on July 19, 1954 to Thomas and Dotsie (Dugan) Nate. He was raised in Maple Grove on the family farm, and was a graduate of both St. Patrick's Grade School and Reedsville High School. He then went on to get his apprenticeship and worked at Miron Construction for the last 33 years with Wisconsin Millwright Union. Tim married Debbie Haelfrisch on August 16, 1975. They were true soul mates. They went on to raise three children, who were the light of Tim's life.
    Tim most enjoyed spending time with his family. He especially loved to be with his six grandchildren. You could see the joy in his eyes when the kids ran to hug their "Papa." Tim was an avid sportsman. He always looked forward to going hunting with the boys at H.S.F.L . deer camp. Tim coached football, basketball, and baseball for many years and still loved to go support his local teams. He did charity work for many local organizations, including making chicken booyah (not soup) for Menchalville Fire Department and Whitelaw Sportsman's Club. He still prized working the land at his family farm with his brother and carrying on his dad's legacy.
    Tim is survived by his loving wife, Debbie; his three children, Chad (Kelly) Nate, Michael (Heather) Nate, and Lea Ann Nate (fiancée Rick Laabs); his six grandchildren Sophia and Joey Barrington-Nate and Natalie, Dawson, Ava, and Brody Nate. He is also survived by his mom Dotsie Nate; his siblings, Pat (Lynn) Nate and Debbie (David) Bauknecht and his brother-in-laws and sister-in-laws Sandra (Gary) Luedtke, Rosemary (Lawrence) Zutz, Jim (Paula) Haelfrisch, Tom (Chris) Haelfrisch, and Larry (Monica) Haelfrisch. He will be remembered fondly by many, many nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, uncles and family friends. Tim truly touched the lives of many and will never be forgotten.
    Tim was preceded in death by his father Tom Nate; his mother and father-in-law Frederick and Marian Haelfrisch and special friend, Pat Fenlon.
    Visitation will be held on Tuesday, November 13, 2012 from 4:00-8:00 p.m. at Holy Family Parish in Brillion and will continue on Wednesday morning, November 14, 2012 from 9:00-10:30 a.m. The Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday morning, with Rev. Timothy Brandt officiating. Entombment will be in Knollwood Chapel Mausoleum, Hwy. 310, Manitowoc.
