    MRS. FRANCES HOFFMAN
    Mrs. Frances Hoffman, 69, died Saturday morning at her home at 210 N Locust St. She is survived by three daughters, Mrs. A. J. Stilp of Neenah, Mrs. Edward Femal of Appleton and Mrs. Benjamin Knowlton of Denver, Colo.; four sons, William Leiningcr of Milwaukee, Norbert and Ervin Hoffman of Appleton and Matthew Hoffman of Menominee, Mich, one sister, Mrs. William Kapp of Appleton: two brothers Frank Wrause of Chicago and Anton Krause of Sheboygan. Thirteen grandchildren also survive. The funeral will be held at 9 o'clock Wednesday morning at St Joseph church. Interment will be in St. Joseph cemetery. Mrs. Hoffman was a member of the Christian Mothers society of St. Joseph church.

    Dr. William W. "Bill" Stilp, 85, Appleton, died Saturday, March 20, 2010, at Saint Camillus Nursing Home in Wauwatosa, after a short illness. Bill was born in Menasha, on May 28, 1924, to the late Aloysius "Al" and Agnes (Hoffman) Stilp.
    Bill proudly served his country with the U.S. Army during World War II and the Korean War. He attended Marquette University School of Dentistry, graduating with the Class of 1947. On Aug. 16, 1947, he was united in marriage to Margery Sinsky in Racine, Wis. Bill practiced as a dentist for over 40 years.
    He was a Fourth Degree Knight with the Knights of Columbus and was a very active volunteer and Board Member with the St. Joseph Food Pantry.
    Dr. Stilp is survived by his wife, Margery, Appleton; daughter, Susan (Jeffery) Becherer, Wauwa-tosa; son, John (Carol) Stilp, Wausau; son, Thomas (Marguerite Gallagher) Stilp, Brookfield; son, Paul (Lori Timan) Stilp, Alexandria, Va.; and daughter, Kathryn (Christopher) Zale, Indianapolis, Ind.; 13 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
    He was preceded in death by his parents; a daughter, Sarah Stilp; and three sisters, Marge Vanden Huevel, Madge Stilp and Frances Stilp.
    A Mass of Resurrection will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, March 23, at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 404 W. Lawrence St., Appleton, with the Rev. Larry Abler officiating. Friends may visit directly at the church on Tuesday from 9 a.m. until the time of service. Interment will take place at St. Mary Catholic Cemetery, Menasha.
    In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established for St. Joseph Food Pantry and Marquette University School of Dentistry.

    Hoffmann, Charles T. "C harles the Florist"Charles T. Hoffmann, of Appleton, passed away peacefully at his home on Th ursday, July 13, 2006, at the age of 74. He was born in Appleton on Augu st 1, 1931, son of the late Norbert and Helen (Van Ryzin) Hoffman. As a yo ung man, he served his country in the United States Army, and then return ed to Appleton and purchased an existing florist downtown. Later he mov ed the floral shop to its current location on College Avenue, and renam ed it: Charles the Florist. Charles had owned his own shop since 1954. Ev en though he retired recently, he kept busy caring for his yard and gard en at home, as well as volunteering for various agencies.Charles is survived by, a brother-in-law, Tom "Connor" Dineen, of Oakfiel d; and by nine nieces and nephews, Ann (Tom) Rosenthal, of Wausau; Susan D ineen, of Madison; Louise (John) Medved, of Salida, CO; Bill (Tina) Dinee n, of Oakfield; Bob Dineen, of Fond du Lac; and his special friend, Sue Mi chels; Chuck (Cindy) Dineen, of Brownsville; Paul Dineen, of Oakfield; Jo hn (Kim) Dineen, of Brownsville; and Tom Dineen, of Oakfield.     Femal, Harold E. "Harry" AppletonAge 82, died Monday, January 13, 2003 at Rennes Health Center. He was bo rn in Milwaukee, Wisconsin on February 7, 1920; the son of Edward and Frol lea (Hoffmann) Femal. Harold was the owner and operator of Femal Service I nc. In 1946 he married Gudrun "Lilla" Femal, she preceded him in dea th on December 31, 2002. This past November they celebrated 56 years of ma rriage. Harold served in the Army Air Corp during World War II, as a demol ition specialist. Harry and his wife enjoyed many years living on Shawa no Lake.He is survived by his four sons: Ronald (Barbara), Robert "Bob" (Susan), E rik (Marsha) and Richard, all of Appleton; nine grandchildren and a great- grandchild; brothers: Kenneth Femal and Lloyd (Maxine) Femal, both of Appl eton; sister, Doris Frost, Chandler, Arizona. In addition to his wife a nd parents he was preceded in death by a sister, Nancy Peters.The funeral will be Thursday, January 16, 2003 at 6 p.m. at the Valley Fun eral Home with military honors to follow. The visitation will be Thursd ay from 4 p.m. until the time of the service at the funeral home. Burial w ill be in Highland Memorial Park.     Kenneth W. Femal, 85, Appleton, passed away Christmas morning at Brewster Village. He was born Jan. 3, 1924, to Edward and Flowella (Hoffman) Femal in Appleton. Ken served in the United States Navy during World War II and was a member of the VFW and American Legion of Appleton years ago. He worked as an ink mixer for Tuttle Press. He was also a faithful member of Sacred Heart Catholic Parish.
    Survivors include his brother, Lloyd (Eunice) Femal, Appleton; a sister Doris Frost, Arizona.
    He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Nancy and a brother Harold "Harry" Lilla Femal.
    Funeral services for Ken will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 29, 2009, at Brewster Village Chapel (3300 W. Brewster St) Appleton. Interment will be in St. Mary Catholic Cemetery, Appleton. Friends may visit the family from 10 am until the time of services Tuesday at Brewster Village.
    The family wishes to thank the staff of Brewster Village for taking excellent care of Ken the last 8 years.
