Obituary:
Jerry H. Denman, 76, of Homer, passed away Saturday, April 7, 2007, at Litchfield Nursing Centre. He was born on January 4, 1931 in Detroit to Eugene and Thelma Denman. Jerry served his country in the U.S. Navy during the Korean War.
He lived most of his life in the Upper Peninsula and Wisconsin, working as a supervisor for a paper mill. He then moved to Homer in 2004. Jerry was a member of the N.R.A. and enjoyed hunting, fishing and other outdoor activities like snowmobiling and snowshoeing. Survivors include: Daughter Laurie Denman (and Sue) of Beaver Dam, WI, (5) Sons Frederick Denman of Munising, Keith Denman of Kentucky, Wade (Kay) Denman of Homer, Steven (Kelly) Denman of Kansas and Douglas Denman of Neenah, WI, Sister Joan Murphy of Munising, (2) Brothers Bob Denman of Munising and Bill Denman of Milwaukee, WI, (4) grandchildren and (1) great-grandchild. He was preceded in death by his parents.
The family of Jerry Denman would like to give special thanks to the following: Beth, Belinda and staff at Summit Park Assisted Living in Jackson; Patti, Julie and staff at Tendercare of Albion; Dr. Gandy and staff at Fieldstone Center in Battle Creek; Mark, Ferrell, Frasier and staff at Litchfield Nursing and Rehabilitation Community in Litchfield; and Phyllis, Sue, Cathy, Carolyn, Chris, Nell and Julie at Southern Care Hospice of Jackson.
Funeral Service will be 1:00 PM Wednesday, April 11, 2007, at J. Kevin Tidd Funeral Home, 811 Finley Drive, Albion. There will be visitation prior to the service on Wednesday from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM. Memorials are suggested to Southern Care Hospice of Jackson.
