    REBHOLZ: Gertrude (O'Boyle) (nee Runte), beloved wife of Charles T., mother of Carlyle, Charles and Robert O'Boyle and Jack Rebholz; further survivied by 4 daughters-in-law, 7 grandchildren, 1 brother and 1 sister, passed away Oct. 15, 1950 aged 68 years. Funeral Wednesday, Oct 18, at 9 a. m., from the funeral home of J. H. Becker & Sons, W. Libson av. at N. 54th St., to the Mother of Good Counsel church at 9:30 a. m. Interment Holy Cross. Members of Christian Mothers and Altar society will hold vigil Tuesday at 8 p. m. In state Tues. after 3 p. m.

    O'Boyle, Charles Born to Eternal Life on February 21, 2010, one month short of his 97th birthday. Reunited with his beloved wife, Vivienne and baby daughter, Michelle. Loving father of Geri-lynn (Mark) Bialzik, Mark (Jane) O'Boyle, and Brian (Maureen) O'Boyle. Proud grandfather of Erin (David) O'Boyle Russell, Kelly O'Boyle, Megan and Julie O'Boyle. Dear brother of Robert (the late Jean) O'Boyle. Further survived by other caring relatives and friends. Preceded in death by his brother, Carlyle (Catherine) O'Boyle and step-brother, Jack (Audrey) Rebholz. Charles proudly served in the U.S. Army during WWII. He was an active member of St. Sebastian Church for many years. Visitation will be held Saturday, February 27, at St. Sebastian Catholic Church (5400 W. Washington Blvd., Milwaukee), from 9:30AM until 11:15AM. Mass of Christian Burial at 11:30AM. Entombment to follow, Holy Cross Cemetery. Memorials to St. Sebastian School Foundation are appreciated. "Charles was a very special and loving dad and grandpa who will be deeply missed and always remembered."

    Obituary:
    Robert (Bob) O'Boyle of Naples, FL and Evanston, IL, 94, died at Presbyterian Home in Evanston, June 28. Born in Milwaukee, WI, and raised in Kaukauna, WI, Bob graduated from Lawrence University in Appleton, WI, in 1937. Later he took graduate courses in business management and banking at Harvard University and Northwestern University. A World War II Navy veteran from 1942-1946, Mr. O'Boyle rose to the rank of Lieutenant Commander while serving in the South Pacific. He was employed his entire career by Continental Illinois Bank and Trust Company of Chicago, from 1937 until 1974. He was a commercial loan officer, rising to senior vice president, Credit and Financial Services. In 1974 Mr. O'Boyle was elected president and treasurer of Continental Illinois Leasing & Financial, Ltd. of Toronto, Canada, a position he held until his retirement in 1976. Mr. O'Boyle was active in the Evanston United Fund, serving as general chairman in 1962. He also was director of the Chicago Crime Commission in 1972 and served on the Catholic Charities Board, the Chicago Council Navy League, and the Businessmen for Loyola University. In retirement he was a member of the Royal Poinciana Golf Club in Naples and became increasingly active in supporting Lawrence University, both in establishing the Robert and Jean O'Boyle Scholarship Fund and in helping Lawrence acquire, rebuild, and expand Bjorklunden, a 400-acre "northern campus" on Lake Michigan in Door County. Surviving are son, John O'Boyle of Severna Park, MD, and New York City, who just won his first Tony Award for best musical revival; grandchildren, Jennifer Dees of Charlottesville, VA, Robert Dees of Gurnee, IL, Michael O'Boyle, of Boston, MA, and Kahly O'Boyle of Appleton, WI; four great-grandchildren. His wife, Jean O'Boyle, died in 2001, and his daughter, Ann Dees, in 1980. A memorial service will be held in the Elliott Chapel at Presbyterian Home, 3131 Simpson St., Evanston, Thursday, July 1, at 3 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Robert and Jean O'Boyle Scholarship Fund at Lawrence University - Development Office, 711 E.
