    Obituary:
John "Jack" Joseph Rebholz, loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, brother-in-law and uncle, 93, of Brookfield, entered eternal life and departed this earthly life and was welcomed into heaven with open arms by his Lord and his wife, Audrey D. Wilson, who became a member of the heavenly choir of angels on Oct. 18, 2005.
Jack met Audrey and fell in love with the love of his life when they were both employed by the Van Raults Potato Corp. They were married on Aug. 31, 1940, at St. Mary's Church in Pewaukee and enjoyed more than 65 years together.
Jack was the son of the late Charles T. and Edith C. (nee Heintz) Rebholz, stepson of Gertrude E. [(nee Runte) (O'Boyle)] Rebholz and stepbrother of Carlyle, Charles and Robert O'Boyle. Growing up in Wauwatosa, he celebrated his 13th birthday on Friday the 13th. He graduated from Wauwatosa High School in 1936.
Jack was a World War II veteran and served in the U.S. Army in the Field Artillery Corps and was assigned to the Quarter Master Corps in the Pacific Theater in the 333rd Quartermaster Salvage Repair Company. He attained the rank of Tech 5 before being discharged in August 1946, after which he returned to his family and Wisconsin.
On Dec. 18, 1981, he retired from the Delta Oil Corp. in Milwaukee, where he spent 40 years as an employee. His latest employment was with Clean Power. He was a long-term member of the Teamsters Local Union No. 200.
Along the side of his wife, Jack volunteered his time in support of the American Red Cross, the Salvation Army and the Veterans Affairs Medical Center.
Jack's family was the center of his life and even though he may have been known by the nickname "crabby Uncle Jack" by his nieces and nephews, Jack was a loving and devoted husband, father, uncle, friend and co-worker. He was always smiling and joking, through good times and bad, with one of his favorite sayings being "Stay happy."
Jack was preceded in death by his wife, Audrey; daughter-in-law, Barbara Ann (Hill); sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Bernice and Norman Schuldt; niece, Penny (Schuldt) Wallace; nephew, Mark Schuldt; and stepbrother, Carlyle O'Boyle.
He is survived by his loving five children and their families: sons Terry (Jean), Ken, Richard, Scott (Janet), all of Wisconsin, and daughter Marianne (Roger) of Pennsylvania; stepbrothers, Charles and Robert O'Boyle; 15 grandchildren, Alan, Amanda, Andrea, Angela, Beth (Tom) of New Jersey, Kittrick (Jennifer) of Pennsylvania, Maria (Mike) of New Jersey, Melissa (Glen) of California, Michael, Michelle (Matt) of Minnesota, Robert, Sandy of Florida, Scott (Johnni Lynn) of Florida, Sean and Tammy (Glen) of Pennsylvania; 16 great-grandchildren, Alexander, Austin, Brett, Carissa, Christopher, Grace-Ann, Jaedyn-Isaish, Jenna Ray, Julia, Keith, Kittrick, Lily, Michael, Nicholas, Olivia and Thomas; along with two great-great-grandchildren who are due soon. In addition, he is survived by niece Nicole Schuldt and grandnephew Jason Wallace.
Jack made the world a great place to live. He was dearly loved and will be missed by his family, friends and the many others whose lives he touched. We will all miss your love, hugs and humor.
A celebration of Jack's life will be held at Hartson Funeral Home, 11111 Janesville Road, Hales Corners, on Sunday, Sept. 28 from noon to 3 p.m. The service will be at 3 p.m. Also, visitation will be held at the funeral home on Monday, Sept. 29 from 10 a.m. to 11 am. An interment will follow at Valhalla Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorials to the family which will be given to a charity of their choice are appreciated.
Hartson Funeral Home, (414) 425-9797, is serving the family.
