    Obituary:
    Marvelin E. Springstroh, age 88, passed away on Sunday, October 4, 2009. She was born in the Town of Freedom on March 22, 1921, daughter of the late, Louis and Emma (Staple) Peters. On June 15, 1944, Marvelin married Wilbert Springstroh, he preceded her in death on March 2, 2001. She was a loving mother and grandmother.
    Marvelin will be sadly missed by her two sons: Robert (Gloria), Waupaca, and James (Allanna), Appleton; two daughters:; Linda (Wayne) Schwobe, and Lana (Mark) Fieck, both of Appleton; eight grandchildren: Natalie (Craig) Sabota, Shawn Springstroh, Carmen (Richard) Van Domelen, Allan (Lisa) Schwobe, Eric and Ryan Fieck, Lucas and Micah Springstroh. She is further survived by six great-grandchildren: Jack and Mason Sabota, Jordon and Marley Van Domelen, Colton and Halle Schwobe; two sisters, two brothers-in-law and many nieces and nephews.
    Marvelin was preceded in death by a granddaughter; Sarah School; three brothers and three sisters-in-law: Arthur (Lydia), Clarence (Violet) and Gilbert (Mildred).
    The funeral service for Marvelin will be held at 5 p.m. Thursday, October 8, 2009, at Faith Lutheran Church, 601 E. Glendale Ave., Appleton. Burial will be held in Community Lutheran Cemetery, Freedom. Visitation will be held from 2 p.m. until the hour of service at the church on Thursday.
    The family would like to thank the staff at Appleton Health Care Center for their outstanding care and compassion.

    Donald Harrison Huth, age 86, went to his heavenly home on Wednesday, August 12, 2015. He was born on February 26, 1929 in Appleton, Wisconsin, to Ernest and Elsie (Stepel) Huth. He attended St. Paul's grade school and Appleton West High School. Don proudly served his country in the U.S. Marine Corps. He married Vivian Prochnow on October 2, 1949 in New London, Wisconsin.
    Don was employed by Morning Glory Dairy as a driver salesman for thirty-five years. He was also the owner and manager of Huth Apartments. Don liked woodworking, gardening, and was known as "Mr. Fix It." He was most proud of his children and grandchildren and their achievements. No matter how inclement the weather, he and Vivian attended every graduation and award function that the kids were involved in. He delighted in his great-grandchildren and looked forward to their visits.
    Don was a lifelong member of St. Paul Ev. Lutheran Church in Appleton, where he served on a variety of committees. He served on the Board of Education when his children were enrolled there, and often could be seen working on projects or the landscaping there.
    Don is survived by his wife Vivian Huth; his three children: Linda (Nick) Frederick of N. Mankato, MN, Timothy (Susan) Huth of Appleton, and Steven (Tammy) Huth of Janesville. He is further survived by his grandchildren: Jennifer (Brandon) Terrell of St. Paul, MN, Tracy Frederick Corcoran of N. Mankato, MN, Shalene Huth of Dubai, Edmund Huth of Appleton, Elizabeth (Benjamin) Daniel of Peoria, AZ, and Michael Huth of N. Hollywood, CA. He is also survived by his great-grandchildren: Alex and Stella Terrell, Kaleb and Katelyn Corcoran, and Aiden and Hailey Daniel; sister Carol Dalke; and sisters-in-law Sylvia Huth of Appleton, Marilyn (Richard) Oertel, Carol (Richard) Stern, and Dorothy Linberg; and brothers-in-law Leslie (Mary Lou) Prochnow and Jack Algiers.
    He was preceded in death by his parents; his sisters Arlene (Merlin) Wolf, Margie (Norbert) Hardy, Lois (Paul) Riehl, Lorraine (Wesley) Warnke; brother Elton Huth; brothers-in-law Kenneth, Donald, and David Prochnow, Ronald Dalke; and sisters-in-law Karen (Lee) Never and Arline Algiers.
    A time of visitation will be held at the WICHMANN FUNERAL HOME, 537 N. Superior Street, Appleton, on Thursday, August 20, 2015 from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. The funeral service for Don will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, August 21, 2015 at ST. PAUL EV. LUTHERAN CHURCH, 302 N. Morrison Street, Appleton, with Rev. Peter Walther officiating. An additional time of visitation will be held at the church from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service.     Lois Mae Riehl, nee Huth, 74, passed away Friday, Oct. 23, 2009, at the Appleton Medical Center, following a brief and unexpected illness. Lois was born in Appleton, on May 24, 1935, daughter of the late Ernest and Elsie (Stapel) Huth. She was a graduate of Appleton West High School and married Paul Riehl on April 16, 1955. Paul preceded her in death in 1978.
    Lois is survived by four sons, Chuck (Nancy) Riehl and their son, Paul (Jodi) Riehl; Mark (Christine) Riehl and his daughters, Melissa, Melinda and Melany Riehl and Christine's children, Lisa (Tom) Wenninger, Ron (Lisa), Richard (Michelle), Brian (Pily), Brad (Dawn) Grzesiakowski, and Linda (Alex) Huerta; Brian (Lorrie) Riehl and their children, Damian (Lorna) Riehl, Nathan (Gwen) Riehl, Holly (fiance, Asa Cronk) Riehl, and Matthew Blink; and James (Connie) Hopp and their children, Michelle and Kyle Hopp. There are also nine great-grandchildren; a sister, Carol (Ronald) Daelke; a brother, Donald (Vivian) Huth; two brothers-in-law, Wesley Warnke and Norbert Hardy; and a sister-in-law, Sylvia Huth.     Peters, Richard C. "Dick" On Monday, May 25, 2015, Dick was gathered in Jesus' loving arms and taken home. He was born on June 14, 1944 in Appleton, WI to the late Gilbert and Mildred (Springstroh) Peters. Dick attended St. Peter Lutheran Grade School and Freedom High School. On August 29, 1964, he married Carole Springstroh.
    Dick was employed at Van Rossum Masonry, Center Valley Coop, Liethen Feeds, CW Transport, Yellow Transport, Churchill Truck Lines, Preston Trucking, Crouse Transport, Have Group Will Travel Tours, Kobussen, and Fox Valley Technical College. He enjoyed travel, Canada fishing and his family and friends.
    Survivors include his wife and life partner Carole, Waupaca; daughters: Lisa (Steve) Wendt and their children Courtney and Heather, Seymour; and Ruth (Bill) Snitselaar and their children Will and Grace, Seattle, WA; and son: Richard J. (Therese) Peters and their daughters Evelyn and Audrey, Darboy. Dick is further survived by brother: Ronald (Karen) Peters and their family, Dan Peters, Dawn Peters and Diane (Eric) Zibble and their sons: Jake and Ryan; and brother Ken Peters.
    He was preceded in death by his parents.

    MILWAUKEE, Police are investigating how a 23-year-old University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee student apparently fell to his death early Sunday on Milwaukee's east side.
    The Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reports a stranger found Ryan Fieck face down on a running path beneath a concrete wall with a drop of about 10 feet.
    The Milwaukee County medical examiner's report says Fieck had been out with friends earlier at a pub crawl. Credit cards and nearly $50 in cash were found in his pockets, along with his cell phone.
    His parents, Mark and Lana Fieck, of Appleton, told police that their son was excited about graduating in December and had a few job interviews lined up.
    They declined to comment to the newspaper but referred to a statement on a Facebook page created in their son's memory.
    "In loving memory of the single person whose contagious, upbeat attitude and hickish humor could put a smile on even the most serious of faces," it said. "You were and will always be remembered as an amazing son, brother, friend, humanitarian, classmate as well as so many other things. May you live on through all of us that you have so positively affected throughout your life. With love, your friends and family."

    Obituary:
    Ryan Arthur Fieck, 23, Appleton, passed away unexpectedly, Sunday, October 10, 2010. He was born June 12, 1987, to Mark and Lana (Springstroh) Fieck in Appleton. Ryan graduated from Appleton West High School in 2006. He was currently attending the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee and going to graduate this December with a double major in Marketing and Finance. He was on the Board of the Collegiate Entrepreneur Organization and was working for the SC Johnson Company. Ryan loved the outdoors and kept very active. His interests include: motorcycling, running, waterskiing, downhill skiing, NASCAR, traveling, fishing, playing softball, volleyball and camping.
    He will be greatly missed by his parents: Mark and Lana Fieck, Appleton; his brother, Eric, Milwaukee; paternal grandparents: Roger (Sally) Fieck, Appleton; Great-grandmother Eleanor Fieck, Shawano; Aunts & Uncles: Jeff (Carrie) Fieck, Appleton; Bryan Fieck, Appleton; Linda (Wayne) Schwobe, Appleton; Bob (Gloria) Springstroh, Waupaca and Jim (Allanna) Springstroh, Appleton. He is further survived by cousins: Ryan Hendricks, Kaitlin, Rachel, Monica and Alex Fieck; Allan (Lisa) Schwobe, Carmen (Rick) Van Domelen; Natalie (Craig) Sabota, Shawn, Micah and Lucas Springstroh.
    Ryan was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents: Wilbert and Marvelin Springstroh and a cousin Sarah School.
    Funeral services for Ryan will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, October 15, 2010, at Faith Lutheran Church (601 E. Glendale Ave.) Appleton with Rev. Daniel Thews officiating. Interment will be in Community Lutheran Cemetery, Freedom. Friends may visit the family Thursday at the funeral home from 4 - 8 p.m. and again at the church Friday from 9 - 11 a.m. Memorials may be directed to Faith Lutheran Church Youth Ministry.

    Jamie L. Gregory, age 35, Menasha, passed away unexpectedly Tuesday, December 11, 2007, at Theda Clark Medical Center, Neenah. Jamie was born March 13, 1972, at St. Elizabeth Hospital, the son of Harvey and Diane (Hardy) Gregory. A lifetime resident of Menasha, he graduated from Menasha High School in 1993. Currently, Jamie was employed at Lakeside Packaging Plus in Neenah, and worked previously at Goodwill in Menasha. He lived at the MRCARES Group Home in Menasha, and was very active with ARC of the Fox Cities. Jamie was a huge sports fan. He loved playing in the Neenah softball league. On Tuesday afternoons he would join his friends from Lakeside for bowling.
    He was an active participant in Special Olympics, and won on the state level. Throughout his life he was involved with many sports programs and won several medals, trophies, and ribbons. Jamie enjoyed his time spent at the Neenah/Menasha YMCA, and was involved in the community with Todd Stevens and Associates of Oshkosh. He was a die hard Packers fan, win, lose or draw.
    Survivors include his parents, Harvey and Diane Gregory, Menasha; his sister, Brenda (Jamie) Kelley, Menasha, and their children, Tyler and Elaenah; his godparents, Randy Hardy and Beverly Mundt; and a special uncle, John Gregory. He is further survived by other aunts, uncles, cousins, and many friends. Jamie was loved by all his family and friends and he loved all of them. He will be truly missed.
    Funeral services for Jamie will be at 11 a.m. Monday, December 17, 2007, at WICHMANN FUNERAL HOME, downtown chapel, with Rev. James Rademaker, Hope Lutheran Brethren Church, officiating. Jamie will be laid to rest in Riverside Cemetery. The visitation will begin at 9 a.m. Monday until the time of the service at the funeral home.
    A memorial fund in Jamie's name is being established.
    The family would like to extend a special thanks to the people who were so important in Jamie's life. They include MRCARES, ARC, his Lakeside and Goodwill coworkers and friends, and TSA.
