    Obituary:
    Marvin L. Schucknecht, age 63, New London, passed away on Tuesday, May 31, 2011, at his residence following a brave fight with pancreatic cancer. Marvin was born on February 19, 1948, in Appleton son of the late Clarence and Gertrude (Bahr) Schucknecht. He served his country in the US Army during the Vietnam War and was the recipient of a Purple Heart and the Combat Infantryman Badge. On February 10, 1997, he was united in marriage to Bobbi Riley. Marvin worked at Meyer Services in Appleton for 33 years. He also drove truck for Carew Concrete for several years and worked for Casey Concrete. Marvin loved to ride horse and was member of the Wolf River Trailblazers Horse Club. He enjoyed camping, cooking, canning vegetables and especially going for breakfast with the Bean City Road Gang.
    Marvin is survived by his wife Bobbi; son, Jeff (Tara) Schucknecht, Menasha; stepchildren: Georgia (Jeff) Lyon, McFarland; Kim (Pat) Gorman, New London; Judy Bergman, Neenah; Tammy (Jeff) Krutz, Neenah; Andrea (Bob) Lindsley, Chippewa Falls; brothers, Vernon Schucknecht, New London; Melvin (Lois) Schucknecht, New London; Maynard Schucknecht, Menasha. Brothers and sisters in-law, Fran Stern, New London; Tim (Barb) Riley, New London; Pam (Gene) Hehner, Fremont; Robin Riley (special friend Kenny), New London; Rory Riley, New London; Pat (Cindy) Riley, New London; Mike (Cheryl) Riley, Hayward; Kevin (Judy) Riley, Greenville; Elizabeth Schucknecht, Horicon. He is further survived by 19 grandchildren, two great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives, friends and especially his best friend of many years Jim Kleiber. Marvin loved his pets and will be missed by his dog, Zeus, his cats, Lucky and Schmidt and his horse, Charlie.
    He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother, Laverne; an infant sister; father in-law, Roger Riley and sister in-law, Eunice Schueknecht.
    A Memorial Service will be held for Marvin on Friday, June 3, 2011, at 7 p.m. at Cline & Hanson Funeral Home, New London with Shannon Mackay officiating. Visitation will be held at the funeral home Friday from 4 p.m. until the time of service. Military Rites will be held.
