    Lester F. "Jake" Jacques, 84, Green Bay, passed away on Wednesday, Dec. 3, 2003. Lester was born on June 2, 1919, to the late Frank and Flossy (Bins) Jacques in Green Bay, WI. He served with the U.S. Army during WWII and was honorably discharged. He married the former Mary Reinhard on August 23, 1947, at St. John the Baptist Church, Howard. Mary preceded him in death on Oct. 28, 1995. They were lifetime members of the area. Lester was a quality control inspector with American Can for 32 years, retiring in 1980.
    Lester is survived by his son, Donald J.Jacques, Green Bay; one daughter, Jeanne (David) Wanner, Green Bay; three Grandchildren, Kelly Howlett, Green Bay; Michael Howlett, Kimberly; William Howlett, US Marines, North Carolina; one son-in-law, Thomas (Alla) Howlett, De Pere; nephew, Tom Cleeremans, Green Bay; nieces, Sherry Rasmussen, Bellevue, and Carol (Mark) Thompson Bellevue. Further survived by nieces, nephews and many friends.
    He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary; parents, one daughter, Janet Howlett; one sister and brother-in-law, Mildred and Robert Cleeremans. The family will receive friends on Saturday, Dec. 6, at St. Joseph Catholic Parish, corner of 9th and 12th Ave, Green Bay, from 10 a.m. until 12 noon. Mass of Christian Burial 12 noon Saturday at the church with the Rev. Michael Ingold officiating. Full Military Honors to follow. Harold J. Pfotenhauer, Funeral Director. In lieu of flowers or other expressions of sympathy, a memorial fund has been established in Lester's name.
    The family wishes to thank Shannon, of Manor Care East, for her compassion and tender loving care.

    From VanAbel Family History;Jacquelyn (Jackie) attended Holy Cross Catholic Elementary School and lat er graduated from Kaukauna High School in 1952. She then went to the S t. Mary's School of Nursing in Madison, Wisconsin and graduated as a regis tered nurse in June of 1953. She later attended United Airlines Stewardre ss School in Cheyenne, Wyoming and, after completing her training, flew t he Los Angeles to Honolulu, Hawaii route which required that medical sta ff be present aboard the aircraft. During layovers in Los Angeles, Jack ie worked as an emergency room nurse at Los Angeles County General Hospita l.

    Obituary:
    Jacquelyn "Jacquie" (Jacques) Van Abel, Kaukauna, passed away peacefully on June 28, 2014. She was born January 23, 1934, the daughter of the late Fred and Kitty Jacques, she lived most of her life in Kaukauna. She was the beloved wife of the late Tom for more than 53 years. Jacquie graduated from Kaukauna High School and UW School of Nursing. After many years as an Industrial Nurse at Kimberly Clark, she became a School Nurse for the Kaukauna School System. Her "can do" attitude touched the lives of many in the community. She was a member of Holy Cross Catholic Church in Kaukauna.
    She was the loving mother of Mark (Kimberly) Amy (Bill Sarles) and Craig (Mary); the cherished grandmother of Molly, Megan, Emily, Lauren, Josh and Nic; dear sister of Lee and the late Dale and Donnie. She is further survived by sisters-in-law: Sue and Judy Jacques.
    A Memorial Mass for Jacquie will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, July 5, 2014 at ST. KATHARINE DREXEL PARISH at ST. FRANCIS CHURCH, Hollandtown with Fr. Jerry Pastors officiating. Friends may call at church from 9:00 a.m. until the time of mass. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the Kaukauna High School Alumni Foundation, PO Box 98, Kaukauna, WI 54130.     Don Jacques, age 75, regained his independence on July 4, 2012, following a lengthy battle with Alzheimer's Disease. He died peacefully with his family at his side. Don was born in Green Bay on May 24, 1937, son of the late Fredric and Kathryn (Ahrens) Jacques. Don was a 1955 graduate of the Kaukauna High School, and married the former Judith Schuler on September 27, 1958 in Little Chute. Don served his country as a member of the United States Army Reserves and for nearly forty years was employed by Appleton Papers - Locks Mill. Throughout his life, he was a member of the Kaukauna Lions Club, Little Chute Jaycees, and the Holy Cross Athletic Association. Don loved golfing, fishing, and swimming, but his pride and joy was his wife, children, and grandchildren.
    Don is survived by his wife of fifty-three years: Judy Jacques of Kaukauna; five children: Julie (Gene) Fiestadt of Kaukauna; Lynn (Roger) Figurin of Rockford, Illinois; Katie (Dan) Ball of Kaukauna; Fred (Betty) Jacques of Menasha; and Jenny (Mike) Banaszynski of Kaukauna; fourteen grandchildren: Leah (Mark) Pucci, Andrea and Derek Fiestadt, Erica and Adam Figurin, Dustin Fassbender, Alex, Riley, and Taylor Ball, Sydney and Lindsey Jacques, and Braeden, Bryce, and Addison Banaszynski; a sister: Jacqueline Van Abel of Kimberly; a brother: Lee (Sue) Jacques of San Diego; a sister-in-law: Sheela (Art) Arnold of Janesville; and a brother-in-law: Tom (Jo Anne) Schuler of Darboy. Don was preceded in death by his parents, a brother Dale (Shirley) Jacques, a brother-in-law Tom Van Abel, and his in-laws Earl and Lucille Schuler.
    The funeral liturgy for Don will be held at 5:30 PM on Wednesday, July 11, 2012 at HOLY CROSS CATHOLIC CHURCH, 309 Desnoyer Street in Kaukauna with Fr. Tom Pomeroy officiating. Inurnment will be in Holy Cross Cemetery. Friends may call at the church on Wednesday afternoon from 3:00 PM until the time of the mass. Online condolences may be offered at www.wichmannfargo.com.
