GREEN BAY - Germaine "Gerry" M. Coppens, 92, Green Bay passed away on July 19. She was born in Green Bay on June 10, 1926 to the late Marie Hendricks. Gerry graduated as Valedictorian from Wrightstown High School in 1944. At the age of 14, she met the love of her life, Royce Coppens. They were later married at St. John the Baptist Church in Howard on September 9, 1948.
In her early years, Gerry was employed in the offices of H.C. Prange Co. and Kraft Foods. Later, along with her daughter, Cathy, she co-owned Family Affair Maternity Fashions in both Appleton and Green Bay.
Together with Royce, she lovingly raised four children, providing special care and support for the family she treasured. She enjoyed many adventures, traveling, and camping throughout the country. She especially cherished her time with Royce in northern Wisconsin, Door County, and later, Florida. Among her many virtues, she will always be remembered for her cheerful, positive nature, and witty sense of humor!
She was preceded in death by husband Royce in 1995, mother Marie, and step-father Lester Williquette, sister, June Blake; mother-in-law and father-in-law, Josephine and Henry Coppens; brother-in-law, Merle Knaus; sisters-in-law, Donna Williquette and Pat Williquette.
Survivors include her children, Cathy (Larry) Junion, Howard WI; Clifford (Joan) Coppens, Menifee, California; Karen (Scott) Piantek, Green Bay WI; Kenneth Coppens, Suamico WI; six grandchildren; Paul Junion (Erin LaPorte) Wisconsin Dells WI; Christine Junion-Suttner (Myron Hein) Howard WI; Timothy Coppens, Menifee, CA; Sean (Elena) Coppens, Perris CA; Andrew (Alexis) Coppens, Chicago IL; Bryan (Danielle Margalit), Sarasota FL; three great grandchildren; two step-great grandchildren; brother Robert Williquette, Green Bay; one sister, Marles Knaus, Howard. Further survived by nieces and nephews.
