Bernard F. Hutton, Bernie, a ge 78, husband and father, grandfather and friend, died at home with h is family beside him, following an extended illness at 1:00 p.m. Wednesda y, May 21st, 1997. He was born December 3rd, 1918 in Menasha and have be en Appleton resident all of his life. Bernie served with the U.S. Army A ir Corps during World War II and following his discharge, he returned to t he Fox Valley where he met and then married Francis J. Romenesko on Augu st 9th, 1947 at Holy Cross Catholic Church in Kaukauna. He had been employ ed by Metropolitan Life for 15 years and then retired from St. Elizabeth H ospital in 1983 after 15 years as director of purchasing. Bernie was a me mber of the St. Bernadette's Catholic church. He is survived by his wi fe Frances J. Romenesko Hutton, three children, Christine and David Blo y, and their sons Jordan and Colin; Patricia and Tim O'Connell, their chil dren, Rachel and Nathan, Ann and David Gilboa, all of Appleton, a niece, B arbara and Donald Vandynhoven, of Little Chute, many other family membe rs and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Whitney J. and A gnes (Kronser) Hutton and a sister, Rosemary Sheehy,. Funeral wi ll be at 11:00 a.m. Saturday at St. Bernadette's Catholic Church burial wi ll be in the St. Joseph cemetery.
