    Obituary:
    Frank E. Short of Appleton, age 80, died on Saturday, June 28, 2003 at his home, surrounded by his family. He was born- in Navarino on February 8, 1923 to the late Albert and Jennie Short. Frank grew up on the family farm in Navarino and was drafted in the Army in 1948. He bought a farm north of Appleton. On July 24, 1952 he married Theresa Griesbach at St. Edward Catholic Church in Mackville. Frank and Theresa farmed for many years. He was also employed with K-Mart and after 20 years of service Frank retired in April of 1987. He enjoyed the outdoors, fishing, camping, gardening, bird watching and playing cards. Frank and Theresa were avid square dancers for 35 years and members of Romeo & Calicoâ?™s Square Dancing Club. Frank delighted in telling everyone about his family.
    He will be sadly missed by his wife, Theresa; children, Michael (Chris) Short of Sheboygan, Sandra (Jim) Phillips of Appleton, Susan (Pete) Stachowiak of Neenah, Cindy (Joe) Hart of DePere, Rosanne (Rick) Peeters of Little Chute, Jeffrey (Pearl) Short of Seymour, Timothy (Joyce) Short of Sand Diego, California, Kate Short of Lancaster, California; 15 grandchildren; 4 step grandchildren,; sister-in-law Frances Short; other relatives and friends.
    In addition to his parents, he was preceded ins death by his stepfather, Ed Klarner; brothers, Joseph (Irene) Short, John Short; sisters, Helen (Ed) Jach and Mary (Gordy) Larson, and brother-in-law, Karl Jarchow.
    The Funeral Mass will be on Wednesday, July 2, 2003 at 11 a.m. at St. Edward Catholic Church in Mackville, with Father Charles Brooks officiating. The visitation will be on Tuesday at the funeral home from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. and again on Wednesday at the church from 10 a.m. until the time of Mass. Burial will be in the Parish Cemetery.
    In lieu of other expressions of sympathy a memorial has been established.
    As Frank often said, 'I love you, keep smiling.'
